Code.Rom has no problems with sms/ chinese?
I tried XXKPH stock and can't send sms quite often. Gonna try update coderom now

Darn, getting an error with messaging when I turn on data, can't send sms while data is on
 Works like a charm when its off though, using CodeROMv1. Hmm.. I'm on CodeRom.V1b and when its on mobile data network, quite frequently message sending fails... Works fine on wifi though... Kinda sad since the phone has a data plan ..

Confirmed.. non asian radio can't send sms with 3g data... at least on my set...
Downgraded to froyo for now |

2.2.1 won't brick your phone, I've converted it back successfully as well.
