yes.. wifi is the cause of the problem.. turn on wifi only when you need to use it.. if you want to keep your phone idle, you need to turn off the wifi or else it will shutdown by itself.. i already test changing the wifi sleep policy to never, but the problem still occur when wifi is turned on and left idle..

i found another problem.. many times my SGA got this 'Emergency Call Only' message.. .. i also faced hangup problem when in the middle of calls for many times.. anybody face this problem?

Mine a lil different. First week when I got the phone. I was heavily testing it and wifi will be on about 80% of the time. The SOD was quite frequent as 3 times a day but now after seldom use it. The SOD never happen for the past 2 weeks as I don't really use wifi and turn on when needed.

The problem now is no SOD but when I turn on wifi, can't connect event the wifi is green. i restart the service using 526 successfully but the wifi still unusable until i reboot it.

It seems to reverse now but I rather cannot use wifi then SOD.

Quick question, when SOD can we still receive the phone calls?

ze_im: my wifi policy was set to never since day 1 (abt 3 wks ago), many times at home wifi on & idle no SOD but got 1 SOD right after i updated JuiceDefender with wifi on & idle

For skype chating. You can others software like im+. More option than skype.

It is better to put step 13 which is reboot coz on both firmware, I've to reboot to make the "root" activate.

i based on charging icon that on stanby screen which from 5% to 100%. it may vary from user to user as there are apps that running at background

Added on April 17, 2011, 9:40 pmit's common for for the battery to overheat when charging. device&battery will get hoter while multitasking as it's will consumed more electricity that pass thru the device

I've had the Ace for 2 weeks almost and it's mostly problem free. My impressions of it is that it's a pretty darn good effort from Samsung for a midranger. Good value buy indeed.

i have a problem here.
my songs won't show up in my media player. anyone experiencing this?

it only shows up as playlist. but when i tried to view all my songs or if i have no playlists, i have no songs in my media player.

what gives?

i tried downloading realplayer and winamp. same thing happen.
