Go to the folder where the driver extracted,
e.g.
C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_11.3\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF
Open the file .inf there, should have name similar to C7115845.inf
Try see there got your graphic card model or not..

yup its stated there mobility hd5700 series.

Check wit your hardware id on your HD5730's properties in device manager, see match or not..

it matches. before this it was always accessible. but now i cant open the CCC

If reinstall the driver after using driver sweeper ?

btw if i wanna try installing again and it doesnt work, how to revert back to the old driver without using system restore?

Open the gpu properties on device manager, there can roll back driver...

no mang i didnt use that all hehe. i know supposed to boot in safe mode but i dunno the exact steps. i just followed the instruction videos on the ATI website. i uninstalled thru programs and features >restart>install CCC

Added on April 27, 2011, 8:13 pmi wanted to that.but after uninstalling the old CCC, the ati gpu is not listed there. instead its the generic display. so how to revert what's not there

Go to safe mode, run driver sweeper, tick ATi - Display, run it and clean all..

If nothing to revert, then its gone..
Redownload older driver..

how to run safe mode? press f8 during start-up right?

Press F8 during start-up, choose safe mode..

1. Uninstall through control panel,
2. Reboot to safe mode.
3. Run driversweeper
4. Reboot to normal mode
5. Install driver.

i tried f8 before and didn't work...if its not working for you too, can type msconfig at start menu, select boot tab, tick safe mode and select minimal then apply...just do the same thing to revert back to normal, ie untick the safe mode and apply.

but now under device manager it says hd6570m/5700. is it because they use similar driver? last time was just 5700 series

lee,wanna ask..after updating bios,it should reboot or auto shutdown without noticing me whter the flash bios succes or failed?

bocz,updating desktop bios diff from lappy..it will tell us it suced and press any bton to reboot if using desktop...

i updating via ezflash in bios (pendrive)
