hey guise.. im seriously thinking of getting an ROG at the end of the year. i need a laptop that can support bf3 but the problem is i like 14" screens...

hey guys im updtaing my ATI gpu driver. which one should i download, the catalyst software suite (1.1mb) or the full CCC (81.4mb)

btw i cant open my current CCC is it something to do with .NET framework? my version is 4 but after some googling i saw that CCC needs .net framework 2?

damn i cant install the downloaded version. after installing it quit and said that the CCC doesnt support something and i need to enable the amd display adapter. then i had to use system restore to revert back, because my gpu disappeared from the device manager tab i followed the steps shown on the videos from the ati drivers page.

btw new problem me FN+<f5-f7> aint working now. for ex i cant use FN+f9 to disable the touchpad, nothing shows up.

Added on April 27, 2011, 3:55 pmok guys i solved my FN hotkey problem. i dl-ed the ATK driver package from the ASUS website and select "repair" during setup option.

but i still have my ati driver problem. how come it couldnt complete the installation? im sure i followed the steps shown on the amd website

yup that's the one i have. lol how'd you know i have hd5700 series when i try to install it says CCC doesnt support the amd display adaptor.

btw do you know why my current CCC cannot be opened? but the application is running under task manager.

i dont own these, but from what i see here alot of people recommend getting this.

yup its stated there mobility hd5700 series.

it matches. before this it was always accessible. but now i cant open the CCC

btw if i wanna try installing again and it doesnt work, how to revert back to the old driver without using system restore?

no mang i didnt use that all hehe. i know supposed to boot in safe mode but i dunno the exact steps. i just followed the instruction videos on the ATI website. i uninstalled thru programs and features >restart>install CCC

but now under device manager it says hd6570m/5700. is it because they use similar driver? last time was just 5700 series

yup you should have gone straight the asus service centre. when the adaptor of my old toshiba laptop failed i went to the toshiba teledynamics place in glenmarie. i got it back in 2 days

how often you do guys update your gpu drivers. i havent seen any noticeable improvement after updating twice before

those free gifts will most likely be useless. what i did was i asked the dude to exchange all that crap and give me a cooler pad instead and i pay the leftover. so i got a CM U2 for rm15

i have the same problem! my BC2 has been lagging up recently. at first i thought it was the wireless but i tried with cable and its still the same.

i suspect its the gpu driver It was running smoothly before my update. It could be other issues but i cant think of anything else i changed/updated.

Or is it a dust/heat issue? My laptop is about 5 months old only. Temp after 1-2 hours playing is 70-80
