yea...i play lots of heavy games alot, in which case i guess doesn't matter have optimus or not, sure hot besides, i think with optimus will be hotter when gaming...anway i'll defend not having optimus is good...cuz i don't have it just feel abit wasted la, since i know there's a powerful integrated gc inside not utilized...

i hate switchable graphic cos leceh.. need add the game lah.. haiz.. so many leceh.. wanna install game + patch already mafan liau.. but 14" no optimus only 15" got oh..

blame the GPU makers...

instead of making more power efficient GPU they come up with this kind of stunt...

well from what i heard.. if there's lightning, the battery will take the hit instead of directly killing the laptop. so battery dies first and laptop is saved. i heard from an external source (i forgot whre)

if lightning hits, the fuse should be the first to blow... then followed by the adapter, followed by the mobo...

battery depending on if it's charging on not, if yes then it's after the adapter, before the mobo...

Yup, that will happen first rather than the mobo dead. The probability of the laptop died is less than the PC from my experience, but in a thunderstorm, its common sense that you should turn off everything electronics from the mains.

Electricity is a weird thing, I have a mobo dead TWICE because of lightning strike but the PSU is still alive till this very day even with a surge protector and voltage regulator. My laptop plugged to the same plug survives as well

guys...last time i reported while playing PES11 freezed prblem..now,it was not only in game,it happened also when im playing songs or open any apps..its freeze at random time and got sound like hanging beep..."zeeekkkkkkk"

Optimus switches automatically most of the time in my case.. I'd rather stick with intel hd if possible with light games since it produces much less heat and performance is similar, at least I can differentiate anything above 35-40fps.. U new guys using intel hd 3000, I can only imagine you guys playing all the high end games to require discrete GPU all the time..

U updated through pendrive? Its normal to shut down automatically after update.. U can check the version to see whether its updated in BIOS?
