Anyway, now is a bad time to buy SSD right?
Due to Thailand flood, so i'll do my price checking later.
Or has the prices drop already?
*
Not quite, SSD prices aren't affected. Only Mechanical Hard disk are affected.
There are no moving parts in SSD.

Better take the A43Sv.
Not sure the A43Sa implements auto switching or not, since that one has problem with OpenGL..

Hey guys,

I own an Asus A42Jv, and realize that the bottom corner where the fan is at becomes extremely hot even when I raise the laptop from the table (Laptop fan but fan not working) when I play games.
Anyone else experience this? Any way I can improve the temperature?

Also, I heard if you upgrade your laptop's HDD to.. some hybrid thing.. it will improve the overall performance?
Can it be done for this laptop?
*
quick way is to blow into the vent on the left hand side. you should see a cloud of dust come out from the bottom.

you mean 1x 4gb and 1x 2gb? yes it should have capacity for 2 ram slots.

why not go for 2x4gb instead biggrin.gif If your OS is 64 bit la. if its 32bit then 3gb is the maximum..

Hi. I am thinking to get Asus A series. The model i am considering:

A43SA-VX038V (i5 2430M + AMD Radeon 6730M)
A43SV-VX203V (i5 2430M + NV GT 540m)

According to salesperson, there is no Optimus feature for A43SV model. Is there any similar feature for A43SA?

Thanks.

Seems like A43Sa also don't have switchable feature. It will use AMD all the time..

In that case, between 6730m and gt540m, using which GPU the battery will last longer and less overheat?

Salespersons LY mostly say GT540m better
My google finding says 6730m.

Can't say for sure. Overheating isn't just about the GPU model, but its mostly depends on the notebook cooling efficiency and the environment..
