why? what would you accomplish in knowing that? to me, its almost like comparing apple to oranges. first off, defy is consider a mid range phone versus iphone, which is a high end phone. it's better to compare SGS2 or Nexus S with Ip4. secondly, defy that will be used to compare against ip4 will likely be a stock 2.1 or 2.2, thus ip4 sure whack it kau kau. it's very unlikely someone will do a benchmark of CM7 defy against ip4, since CM7 is not a standard ROM, and also still buggy.

perhaps you can do one and post?

after all that's been said and done, i still prefer using my defy than iphone4 (i bought my gf one) cos in terms of user friendly-ness, i think android is still more user friendly. the one button crap on ip4 takes some getting used to

i wont really say kau kau lah, but notable difference lor. with cm7, i think use experience much better, but then again, very subjective, cos different user different expectation.

lol, i wont say beat la....as i mentioned, different user experience. some ppl like the fact that when they whip out their iphone, ppl will say, iphone wor...but whip out defy, ppl wont even see.....until you start streaming youtube videos with your phone in a mug of beer!!!

for me, defy is really a damn value phone. got ppl saying motorola regret selling defy at this price, thus trying to not really support it to make ppl migrate to atrix and stuffs like that. not sure true or not, but it does speak volume for the phone price/spec ratio. if you plan to get it, close eye get it. really worth it

If you coming from CM7 you need to wipe data/cache using system recovery.
Otherwise it stays at "Android" start-up screen

2nd time flashing..
stil stuck at ANDROID..

I have done it several times, I'm on miui right now with 2nd init installed, and when I reboot to stock recovery, I got green robot with triangle like him, BUT (still in that mode) I press the volume up and down at the same time (it's like pressing in the middle of volume button between up and down) for a few second. Then you will enter stock recovery. Try it

my sim card is quite old dy LOL...
but before that i use liquidarc rom the battery is ok...
now cm7 beta6 the display is eating more than half of the battery

yep..im with cm7 beta6 too..before this battery can last only for one day..
after change new sim(old sim used since 2006)..it can last for 3 days..twice charged ady..

im using only 2g..baseband is taiwan/central europe..
some casual gaming, wifi average 1hour a day, messaging..

keep to 2G, then battery life last very long....but with 3G on, then really use much faster. after all, use the power widget and change to 3G only when i need to surf the net or FB and stuffs only. if not, keep 2G most of the time.

battery can last me 1.5 days but most of the time, i charge at night at about 40+ % left, cos i cannot go to work with 40% charge. if few long calls come in, then big trouble! maybe i need to get a car charger!

i barely use mobile network...mostly use wifi only...
ok i think it's time to change my simcard..
just get a universal car charger...it's below rm20 only XD

Universal car charge better get good one and 1000mah output .. can charge up about 1% per min.

those RM10 one tak boleh pakai ... about 1 hour also hard to get 10%

any car charger brands that you guys are using?? the good ones seems to be RM50-70 lah...but the cheap one, i also scared spoil the phone, just in case the voltage not regulated properly. under charge is ok, over charge problem!

I've been using CM7 6.0 for almost 2 weeks now. All is good expect i'm still facing the 3G signal lost problem. especially when the phone is below 50% charge. I wonder why...annoying when i can't sync whatsapp.
