I guess at the moment only Singapore able to update. Malaysia not yet.
Could be they are checking the availability based on IP address or IMEI

Thanks for the reply mate. Phone cannot be on, no bootloader and recovery. full batt. I think motherboard burnt??

I think most likely is your battery no power. Try to charge it and reboot the phone. I havent heard anyone burn the motherboard before. I have brick a lot of time and everytime can revive the phone.

Re: DEFY: Upgrade/Update News for Non-U.S. Models

There's an upgrade available for the DEFY via the MSU (Motorola Software Update) service.
This update is not available OTA (over the air), so you can't download it directly on your phone.

The regions/providers are:

Singapore:
Retail

France:
Orange, SFR, Retail

The MSU installation package is available at this URL: http://www.motorola.com/update

The release notes are available here:
https://rsddownload.motorola.com/download/B...MB525.Retail.FR. pdf
https://rsddownload.motorola.com/download/B...MB525.Orange.FR. pdf
https://rsddownload.motorola.com/download/B....MB525VF.FR.pdf

More providers/regions will follow. Please be patient.

i use the root explorer..
try find :
system/etc/gps.conf

open the gps.conf

then u can see something like "pt.pool.ntp.org"
open it in text editor to change it to "my.pool.ntp.org"

i tested in the building near window..quite fast smile.gif
no need to use faster fix
