1 think crosses my mind. normally water & impact damages are strictly not covered by warranty. but how bout Defy? does the warranty is different?

QUOTE(kennethbta @ May 5 2011, 07:04 PM) well, since they claims the IP67 means the phone can be submerged in 1M deep for 30 mins. right?what is u bring the phone into shower and the water gets into the phone. like one fellow owner here. becuz normally the warranty auto void if there's the slightest trace of water. how bout Defy? |

QUOTE(silentser @ May 7 2011, 07:16 PM) no its not, i already go swimming with it, literally go swimming with it (no more than 1 minute underwater of course), it survived my 2 year old nephew anger throw straight face to the floor, fall down countless times and all that with no cover except screen protector. and the result is........ minor scratch at the corner of the steel, minor scratch at the corner of the back body plate, no scratch at the back, no scratch at other place, for a rm1500+ phone, i never thought i could not be so worry about it falling down and break it. it's good to know how urs survived all that motorola remove the IP67 to avoid future law suit, better be safe than sorry, the more you claiming your phone could do this and that, the more people will test it, and if they found it is not true, they could sue you. |

guys. my apologies if i missed it. but i dun find any real-life reference on the camera performance by LYN user. most of the review was on how tough the phone was but none about the camera performance. either using stock ROM or custom.
thanks in advance and my apologies again. |

QUOTE(blackwhitechipsKL @ May 23 2011, 08:09 PM) not acceptable at all is too strong lah. it's ok, but if you expect good camera, then cannot lah. under good lighting, camera works well, but under low light condition, you have to flash it, or pictures will be dark. and of course, i personally hate taking pictures with flash as it washes out the ambience and everything. iphone has very good low light picture capabilities QUOTE(Long88 @ May 23 2011, 08:18 PM) its ok la..iphone 4 is not as tough as this phone.. yea.. i don't really expect it a high quality picture. just decent is enuff. ive seen review that some people use iphone then change to defy.. and they love it..thats is why i buy defy too.. both phone have pros and cons..so chill!! and it's true that Defy is tougher than ur average phone. |

QUOTE(kysham @ Jun 10 2011, 03:28 PM) Hahaha.... luckily they sent the phone to another branch. I collected it at their other branch. based on motorola support forum, the official froyo update for M'sia has been post-phoned. right?p/s: tried to update froyo using MSU, but cannot de. Only have option to update Milestone & XT720. This is for country Malaysia. Do I choose another country or wait somemore...? Or do I have to do something else? Hmmm.... |
