hahaha.. my fine tuning of my dac is almost done, hmm still need to burning in to finalize. then i will find another case to put in like this.

hi bro,

i've never owned any hi-fi system before, i'm looking for a bare basic entry system..

i assume basic means CD player + amp + book shelf? my budget is RM2k, is that enough and what would you recommend?

i am in to classical music.

living hall size of 14X16ft. Budget below or ~ 15k. listening to soft music and would use the speakers for watching movie also. (priority is music)

Banana, basically if you want to incorporate into a Home Theater system, you're better off with an AV amp.

And budget 15 k. But what kinda setup you want? 2 channel? 5.1? What is your goal in the first place.

hi any recommend for mini home theater budget around 1k which can support PC audio output.(i want to play movie on PC which connect to lcd tv then sound come out from speaker not from lcd tv) prefer with 5 in 1 speaker tongue.gif

Then you should have asked in the Home entertainment section instead of the Hifi Stereo system topic.

Anyway, for 5.1, you can choose basically an AV amp from denon, marantz or yamaha whichever you prefer and can match up with speakers from PSB, Dali or B&W and the likes. Basically your question is impossible to answer. You have no specific targeted equipment or speakers.I suggest you research yourself first. Instead of just asking a blank question like this, better you go audition in Hifi shops and tell them your budget.


You can try a&l audio in armcorp, or hiwaylaser in ss2. They're catered more towards HT setups and should have products within your budget.

yeah... after reading few magazines, found that i asked a dump question smile.gif thanks for the advice.

I think i know what i want now more precisely, finally, smile.gif (erm, i am looking for a home theather set in the living hall and a hifi stereo system in my bed room)

I will be in US for few months and any idea what kind of things is cheap over there and worth to bring it back?
