HI all expert,

Anyone know anything about HDCP? Currently I am connecting my home amplifier to my PC using Sound card (MY old amplifier dun have digital input), now i planned to buy a new amplifier with HDMI input and connect to my PC through ATI 4650's HDMI (with multichannel linear PCM 7.1 surround sound).

1) Any recommendation budget amplifier (HDMI) with 5.1 channel input, I found out that many budget Amplifier from Yamaha, Denon and Onkyo, they actually have HDMI port but din support audio pass through... I dunt rili understand what is that, if din support audio pass through then why they built HDMI port there? I understand that most budget amplifier did not process TrueHD decoding but I dun need that bcos my graphic card only able to pass out PCM 7.1 sound and the decoding can done on software to decode from TrueHD to Multichannel PCM before pass to the amplifier.

2) How to know whether an amplifier support multichannel PCM?

3) I have a kenwood centre speaker with Max power 100 watts 6ohm, 2 kenwood surround sound speakers with Max 50watts with 12 ohm and 2 front Yamaha speakers with MAX 75 watts and 6 ohm, should I use them for amplifier with 100 watts power output?

Lastly, purpose of the new amplifier is for better sound quality for watching movies using PC for file type MKV.

Thanks, appreciate for any reply.

=).

Hi to all experts out there,

Can you help me with my dilemma. I like to listen at a loud volume for certain song especially pop/hiphop. But my current system are unable to give me satisfaction in that region. My system now only consist of a dvd player (pioneer), intergrated amp Kenwood KA-3020, speaker Tannoy mercury MX3 and lastly "cap ayam" interconnects/speaker cable.

I personnelly prefer floorstanding speaker, but my living room is just an average size, ~10' X 23' and L shape. So what do you reccommend me to upgrade first to overcome this problem, provided that I have ~ RM 3-4K to spend.

Other than that, I feel very boring right now due to all my friends are really blind regarding hifi stuff. I dont have anybody to share my hobbies. So simply saying I'm quite a "loner" here, Especially here in Kuantan where there are only hifi shop existed. Can u beleive that.

Yes the exposure will drive your 602s unless you push the volume to unreasonable levels. Btw, make sure you're getting the S2 version of the 2010s. It's been out a few months now. Don't terkena old model since alot clearing stock.

Btw, your DM602 is s1, s2, or s3?

That picture alone is enough to discourage any DIY wannabes..
Otherwise it's messy and looks dangerous at best..
To the uninitiated, a complete 'turn off' tongue.gif

hmmm. its actually doesnt matter diy or not, but you can ask some experience people to custom one amp for you. for example, diyhifisupply.com. no point buying branded rite.. i tell u, branded will still lose haha.
branded is just a sense of easy for noobs or lazy ppl get a normal sound.

no point getting expensive brands with cheap parts installed. haha
