did u happen to put ur settings to gsm/2g only?

Finally my new prepaid UMOBILE SIM registration got through, and subscribed to internet 24 hours (500MB)

Again, same thing happened.
I'm only getting 2G (GPRS, actually) that's fine because my area does not have UMobile 3G coverage.

However, I'm also using Maxis 3G on my phone, (i'm using two different phones here) so I know that Maxis 3G does exist. The problem is now, I cannot get my UMOBILE SIM to 'latch' to maxis 3G signal roaming, even when i select "only 3G".

on APN settings i only see UMOBILE (my3g) settings and umobile MMS.

Am i doing anything wrong, or its just that in Sabah, there is no Maxis 3G roaming for Umobile users?

I'm curious. May I ask, if you're outside of the orange area (the 3G coverage),umobile will not roam into a partner 3G network?

(or there's none despite the hoo haa about umobile partnering with Maxis?)
*
Actually orange coverage is including Maxis 3G coverage. Outsite the orange area u get no 3G service.
How i know ? Before 3G roaming Umobile 3G coverage very limited in few state main city. After roaming umobile automagically all over the place nationwide.
Maxis own 3G coverare maps is fake one. Best coverage my foot vmad.gif

Well here where I am there is maxis coverage (because i'm using it), the 2G roaming works fine, but the 3G roaming doesn't (so now i'm assuming that there are not 3G roaming partnerships)

How do I activate the free YouTube thingy?
I read the FAQ, it teaches you how to deactivate

Must I use the youtube app in order to get free video streaming? Web cannot?

You just need to subscribe/renew to a UMI or MB plan, then wait for the sms.

Either YouTube app or web is fine.
