I'm curious. May I ask, if you're outside of the orange area (the 3G coverage),umobile will not roam into a partner 3G network?

Really? I know I have Maxis 3G, but I don't seem to be able to lock on to that. Can you teach me? (I think I'm doing it wrong LOL)

okay that means something is wrong with either my phone or something else because UMobile can only select 2G. I will buy another SIM pack and test it though. Thanks again!

No, but I suspect maybe the phone (its a faulty one, but usually works) did not get the proper settings, or maybe had the settings screwed up since it used to have a Maxis sim card too.

Finally my new prepaid UMOBILE SIM registration got through, and subscribed to internet 24 hours (500MB)

Again, same thing happened.
I'm only getting 2G (GPRS, actually) that's fine because my area does not have UMobile 3G coverage.


However, I'm also using Maxis 3G on my phone, (i'm using two different phones here) so I know that Maxis 3G does exist. The problem is now, I cannot get my UMOBILE SIM to 'latch' to maxis 3G signal roaming, even when i select "only 3G".

on APN settings i only see UMOBILE (my3g) settings and umobile MMS.


Am i doing anything wrong, or its just that in Sabah, there is no Maxis 3G roaming for Umobile users?

Well here where I am there is maxis coverage (because i'm using it), the 2G roaming works fine, but the 3G roaming doesn't (so now i'm assuming that there are not 3G roaming partnerships)
