i email one MNP case over to them yesterday abt 3pm, today the user emailed to me tat his sim ady deactivated although his new UM sim hav not reach via Pos Ekspress yet. doh.gif

this shows UM ady speeded up the MNP process tremendously after the downtime/"upgrades"

Ok I just dropped a line at their online website.

I can't find any of my friends using Umobile at the moment. LOL

One more thing, if I roam at Celcom 2G network with umobile and I call another umobile user who is also roaming at Celcom's network - does the free call promotion apply in this case?
*
ofcourse, why not?

yes, you are entitled for free call under this situation. free calls are for u mobile to u mobile, irrespective of whether they're on domestic roaming or not.

even calls from East Malaysia ~ Peninsula Malaysia (vice versa ) also free rite?

imagine how much if a Celcom subscriber were to call a Digi number this way....basically we are using Celcom's infrastructure in P Malaysia thumbup.gif

Did you receive any sms from U mobile or your current telco?
If not, you should have refer to the service agent/service centre that did MNP for you.

Usual events in the MNP process
1. Once UM receive your MNP application, they should send a sms to you telling that they have received your application and are working with the MNP.
2. After that, few hours/mins before you are transferred to UM, you will receive sms from both UM and your current telco that you will be  MNP-ed any time and if no more signals from your current sim card, change UM sim card.
3. Last sms, welcome message from UM and good bye message from your previous service provider.

I'm not too sure how it works.

Let's say I get a RM30 prepaid card, RM28 is used for the data plan so RM20 remains in my balance. I can use the remaining balance of RM2 to sms right?

And another thing, how much is the starter pack for U mobile? I'm coming from Maxis prepaid blush.gif

Thanks
Ported as in retaining same number? What are the procedures like?

Thanks

i can do MNP into UM for u if u wan, PM if u really wan

i think digi is aware of the current situation (many digi prepaid customer mnp to UM). So they have amend the rules for share a top up.. if i'm not mistaken, digi easy prepaid is not allowed to transfer their credit balance to other mobile number, while digi best prepaid plan allow transfer of RM10 each MONTH only.. do check it and see if i'm wrong
*
DiGi talktime transfer hav been changed to 8 x rm5 per calendar month, but the transferer will be charged 50 cents and receiver 25 cents.

Nowadays Birthday bonus come in the form of Talktime minutes which cannot be transfered out doh.gif

i gonna port all my VIP DG numbers to UM when i use up the credit
