So I have hormone imbalance, and thinking to start birth control pills to control my hormones(seen from Internet that birth control can help arrange hormone back to normal) I am 18, with regular period every month. I read a post about the pills already but which one do I take? Also I also have some acne problems on chin due to hormones too. Hopefully birh control can treat it also

Hopefully birh control can treat it also There already is an existing topic on BCP, which I've merged your thread into. What makes you say that you have hormone imbalance if you have regular period every month? When I had hormone imbalance, my period was not regular. Doctor prescribe BCP for me to regulate the hormones. I'm also having very bad hormonal acne on chins which also spread to the cheeks now, BCP did help quite a bit but once stop, it comes back. I was prescribe Diane35.

Can be common in some girls. Ovulation pain, Google it up. Used to have them on and off. Brown discharge also normal during ovulation. But there was once early this year where I had very terrible pain and cramps in one side and bleeding was much more than spotting. It was like heavy menstruation flow already and lasted for 2-3 days. Went to gynae for check up but she scan say nothing. Hormones went haywire after that, unstable menstrual cycle, pimples popping out like nobody business, went back to gynae, scan and found a small cyst in the ovary. So if your pain still persist, go see a gynae just for a check up.

Skin diseases are all due to our own autoimmune system. Some see the result for taking BCP in 1-2 months , others about 6 months. Therefore, when your doctor decided to stop your BCP, you can always maintain your hormonal issues with EVENING PRIMROSE OIL supplements.Take One capsule in the morning. Just pop into any pharmacies and buy them. Hope this helps, btw i am a pharmacist.

No birth control pills can help you now if she is pregnant. And pills to induce a miscarriage are not available over the counter. Go see a Gynae.

Hello again, just wondering if us girls take Pap smear test annually, example if My last one was at 2014 October and results came out normal and then right after that, "cancerous cell" start to grow but next appointment will be at 2015 October. By the time will it be late to detect those "cancerous cell"? Just a thought...

Hi all, I'm leaving the UK, heading back to Malaysia for good in 3-4 months time. I am on Rigevidon. I'm not sure if Rigevidon is available in Msia because I only started taking BCPs when I was already in UK. if it is not available in Msia, what is the closest alternative to Rigevidon that is available in Msia? Thanks in advance!

There is no point in asking people what side effects they experience because every woman is individual. This Sunday is July 5, after your period. You will have to wait 7 days for full protection, taking the pill every day around the same time, so July 12. By July 24, you will be fine. I cannot advise you on your menses, since I take the pill to get rid of my period lol. This post has been edited by spunkberry: Jul 2 2015, 02:02 AM

He (yes my gynae is a man, and he's really nice) said to do it every 18-24 months.

Hi, my last period was on 17th of July and I had sex with my boyfriend on 28th of July at approximately 10pm-11pm. Took Escapelle on the next day at 1pm and experienced those undesirable side effects such as fatigue, dizziness, but those only last for a day. And as I thought my period is coming soon, which was happened on last Friday, but it turns out I have lower abdominal cramping, but the cramps are fading. I also have sore nipples which it sustain for 5days and it's worsening. been 2 weeks now and my period has yet to come, took pregnancy test on last Saturday night and yesterday morning and it show negative result. So is it normal to feel sore nipples and slight cramp after a week of taking the pill? And is it possible for me to get pregnant?
