BCP? Or Plan B? Because the latter is not BCP.

I doubt 1 month is enough to see results. microgyn - ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, wonder why my doctor give me this instead of dianette (cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol) or Yaz (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol) , which many dermatologist used for treating adult acne I was prescribe Diane35 for a small cyst and hormonal acne. Gynae told me need about 6 months to a year. Didn't really like the idea of taking BCP for acne cause I've heard many will get their acne back after they stop, so I took for 3 months. Acne got much much better after the 2nd month or so. So far acne not as bad as before but the scars are recovering slowly. Switched to omega-3 supplement and lifestyle changes for the acne. |

QUOTE(justforly @ Sep 30 2014, 08:28 PM) but reading from superdrug website some actually risk to give you acne instead Like I said, you can't use brand names. Each woman's reaction to birth control is unique. What works for you, may not work for me etc. I wish people in Malaysia would stop being so obsessed about the brand name. IT DOESN'T MATTER. WHAT MATTERS IS YOUR REACTION TO IT. I could recommend all the brand names in the world to you, but if you have a bad experience with it, what's the point?the two brands i mentioned are widely being prescribed by dermatologist. but Diane35/Dianette is banned in France now, as many reported to have blood cod problems while taking it oh... i am also using supplement so far... my prescription already reach my local clinic lol... have not go and pick it up yet my gynea ask me to take first day of period... Give it two months, and for f***'s sake, listen to your gyne's prescription instructions! You're not the one with the medical degree! |

I could recommend all the brand names in the world to you, but if you have a bad experience with it, what's the point? as i said different brand names different chemical used. i am not concern about the brand names, just the brand name represents what the contents is i.e. v ia gra is also just a brand name that has many competitors that have same purpose but different combination of drugs/chemical used, which, the chemical names would be too long to type out. and different chemical would have different function in general, although as u said, its also some individual factors, like women who had different medical history would not be prescript to certain brands because these brands contain a certain chemical/hormone. i thought i made my point pretty clear by stating my previous postGive it two months, and for f***'s sake, listen to your gyne's prescription instructions! You're not the one with the medical degree! microgyn (yes brand names but shorter, easier no?) - contained of ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, generally levonorgestrel as stated by NHS more than 60% of woman reacted to this hormone by popping adult acne. while, dianette (cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol) or Yaz (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol), Yes both brand names but again my point is, the Ethinyl or the smaller molecular extracted ethinylestradiol, as referred to NHS Stat more than 80% woman reported to have their skin improved after taken that, and it is well-known for not just gynea but also dermatologist to prescribe this for the purpose of pimples. also, please do not because of your misunderstanding of my intention, you generalized 28millions malaysians to be obsessed with "brand names", what more, I am only holding Malaysia PR, I am born and raised in Singapore, spent half my life in UK. i do not doubt the doctor, but this NHS GP who had saw my adult acne problem on the same day of my visit and prescribed me zineryt solution, also give me a contraceptive pill that contain ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel , got my wonder a bit why he's not giving me the one that contain cyproterone acetate or the one that contain ethinylestradiol or the Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol. - ok no brand names |

So do what you think is best microgyn (yes brand names but shorter, easier no?) - contained of ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, generally levonorgestrel as stated by NHS more than 60% of woman reacted to this hormone by popping adult acne. while, dianette (cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol) or Yaz (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol), Yes both brand names but again my point is, the Ethinyl or the smaller molecular extracted ethinylestradiol, as referred to NHS Stat more than 80% woman reported to have their skin improved after taken that, and it is well-known for not just gynea but also dermatologist to prescribe this for the purpose of pimples. also, please do not because of your misunderstanding of my intention, you generalized 28millions malaysians to be obsessed with "brand names", what more, I am only holding Malaysia PR, I am born and raised in Singapore, spent half my life in UK. i do not doubt the doctor, but this NHS GP who had saw my adult acne problem on the same day of my visit and prescribed me zineryt solution, also give me a contraceptive pill that contain ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel , got my wonder a bit why he's not giving me the one that contain cyproterone acetate or the one that contain ethinylestradiol or the Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol. - ok no brand names I don't really consider Singapore's attitude to be very much different from Malaysia. Sure, my mistake for generalizing you with the rest of the gang. I apologize for that. This post has been edited by spunkberry: Oct 8 2014, 10:59 PM |

That's fine. just make sure you take it at the same time every day. It's also not a good idea to only take it when you go to see him, because the hormonal changes will mess up your body. Either you always take the pill, or you don't take the pill at all. |

me and my gf have unprotected sex since april (not even using natural way, yup, i know, don't know what got into our head), we were very worry at first every month during her period time and felt relieve when she got it, but then the visit to GP kinda go dragging and dragging n now it's November already and she's hasnt got pregnant, but she finally visited the GP and got prescribed with combined pills, but then we r starting to worry another thing, is either one of us infertile. hence, she hasnt start taking the pill, and wanting to schedule a visit to a gynea to run fertility test, so is me. n i think those contraception pills she got, no need already. i plan to propose this end of the month.
