QUOTE(nixonyang @ May 1 2011, 06:58 PM) Added on May 1, 2011, 7:17 pmguys, i rooted my phone, some apps icons are missing but still usable in my shortcut... any solution? I'm having a similiar problem but i didn't root my phone. I transferred all possible games/applications to the SD card and most of the icons are missing EVEN after i restart my phone. Is this some kinda bug too? I could find the apps using the default google search and it could be executed. This post has been edited by michaellks: May 2 2011, 02:02 AM

Hi Benny888, I have 1 suggestion. You could include the Wifi restriction for the ARC in the first thread so that everyone is inform on this limitation.

The best way is still to do it manually : Settings/Applications/Mamangae Applications : Select the app you need and choose move to SD There are many apps in market which allows you do that too but I find the best so far is app 2 SD by Sam Lu. Many other such similar apps can move many apps to sd but I find it creates instability and issues of apps failing to appear in menu. One disadvantage in using Sam Lu app is it has a strict built in control and many old apps cannot be moved to SD while other apps 2SD apps can do it

Yeah, I did it manually through Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications. I didn't use any 3rd party apps. The only other thing is I created a folder in one of the screen and put most of my games shortcut there and the icons are still there. Added on May 2, 2011, 11:08 amQUOTE(Reix @ May 2 2011, 07:30 AM) Have you checked the last page of your homescreen? Yes, I've checked them all. Even sort them by Alphabet, Most Used, Recently Installed. Read from some forum that this would happen as when the phone starts, before the SD card is mounted, it'll load the applications first, missing out most of the apps that are on the cards. Too bad there's no 'Refresh' function at the home apps screen. This post has been edited by michaellks: May 2 2011, 11:08 AM

I could find the apps using the default google search and it could be executed. if i'm not mistaken.. it's a common bug in android.. my 2 android phones having similar problem.. it's because of when the phone restart/reboot.. apps in sdcard are loaded after the phone finish loading everything in internal memory.. same reason why widget cannot be put in sdcard..

It is only a bug in Android 2.1 and below NOT Android 2.2. All the apps which I moved to SD is always display in menu in ALL my Android phones I have used - no such issues at all. You just need to check what apps you are moving to the SD card - system apps and widgets must always stay in phone memory. I do not put my apps in folders , so I cannot comment whether this could be the cause of it not appearing. One also need to check the source of the apps - if using dubious/ahem sources which are cracked these could be another problematic source of it
