13 April 2011 – HTC latest Android flagship, HTC Sensation or also known as the HTC Pyramid is officially revealed in the HTC UK launch event. The HTC Sensation shares many similarities with the HTC EVO 3D such as the 4.3-inch Super LCD with qHD (540 x 960) resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and HTC Sense 3.0. Unfortunately, the HTC Sensation does not come with a glassless 3D screen as what the HTC EVO 3D has.

I'm having a similiar problem but i didn't root my phone. I transferred all possible games/applications to the SD card and most of the icons are missing EVEN after i restart my phone. Is this some kinda bug too? I could find the apps using the default google search and it could be executed.

I can execute them as well, just that the icons are missing after i move them to the SD card.

Yeah, I did it manually through Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications. I didn't use any 3rd party apps. The only other thing is I created a folder in one of the screen and put most of my games shortcut there and the icons are still there.

Added on May 2, 2011, 11:08 amYes, I've checked them all. Even sort them by Alphabet, Most Used, Recently Installed. Read from some forum that this would happen as when the phone starts, before the SD card is mounted, it'll load the applications first, missing out most of the apps that are on the cards. Too bad there's no 'Refresh' function at the home apps screen.

Make sure you're connected to your wireless network though. If not you're gonna have to download it via PC and then transfer the apk files to your phone.

Press and hold an empty area in the screen, choose widgets then choose Status Switch

I last charged my phone 2 days ago at night, almost 48 hours now, and I still have 41% juice. Normal calls and sms, some games, wifi, camera. Didn't charge 8 hours on my first charge, I observed the battery's performance got better and better the more cycles I charge it. Definitely got better with Juice Defender.

For my case, display 32%, Cell standby 22%, Phone idle, 21%, funnily wifi isn't listed in battery usage. Brightness is set to 50% as well.

Maybe your friend doesn't know Arc's screen don't react well with finger nails. Ask him to use his finger instead.

I have the exact same problem,(but my phone doesn't shut down immediately after the 1% warning) and the thing is after charging it a while, it goes back to 20%, not sure if it's the same for your case. So what i did is i unplug the charger and use the phone till 1% again, then this time when charging, i go to settings and make the screen always on while charging, then only i see the battery charging progress properly. I tried it out last night in fact. And at just my previous charge, my battery indication was at 100% even after 13 hours, after some games and all, i thought the battery level indicator was faulty, but it did drop after that. I'll monitor to see if I can see my battery level in the 10 to 20% level again, cos i've never seen it in that range after using it for 2 weeks now.

Was reluctant to root the phone, seems like no choice now.

I charge mine with the phone on, and as mentioned earlier u have the options at settings -> applications -> development -> stay awake
so that ur screen never sleep during charging. I mostly use USB to charge it.

It's not exactly better, just that the option is there. I left it on just to see the progress of the charge, cos it happened when i was charging at 1%, it jumped to 20+% in just a few minutes. After that i change the settings to allow the screen to sleep back.

Hi, good that it works for you, funnily for me it still happened, my battery went down straight to 1% from 20++% today. Just got it charged till 100%. I called the seller and he said other customers are complaining the same issues as well. I'll monitor this cycle and see what happenes.

You guys aware of in iOS app names Xperica? I wonder what's with them using a name so close to Xperia

Added on May 20, 2011, 8:16 pmIt has not been happening to me anymore, but there was once where my battery drainage was terrible, around 50% drained overnight (phone in idle mode). Be sure to always turn OFF background data from settings -> accounts & sync. You will need to turn it on whenever u access apps like Market and it won't turn it off automatically after you quit the app. Still monitoring the battery's performance. But daily charging is needed so far.

Try to further monitor it, it's abnormal behavior. Two weeks into using this phone, i retained 100% even after 13 hours. And the battery went straight to 1% from 20++% after that.

I didn't applied the second sp nor replaced the ori one, i'm using the ori one. Not using any casing cos the reason i bought this phone is to enjoy its sleek, sexy and the 8.7mm slim design. Wouldn't using casing makes it thicker and heavier?
I find the pre-applied sp good enough for me, very resistant to scratches.
