i m using the sp provided in the box and yea it is kinda glide your fingers around and smudges easily. I just placed an order for a sgp optics sp, pretty cool sp. Got it installed on my previous nexus s and it feels good with minimal smudge.

guys, look closely at the original sp, you'll see tiny box shapes, better to be seen with reflection of light. Maybe its like a composite plastic sheet?

On the battery issue, I installed juicedefender (as recommended by many in this forum) on saturday.
I can really feel the difference! It prolongs the battery for so many extra hours!
Yesterday I went out whole day in the morning 9am with 55% battery. Normal surfing+call+FB-ing+camera+video-ing. Back at home ard 9pm and still got 18% left :-)
This morning left my house at 6.30am. 2 calls + few rounds of angry birds + few times changing on settings. Almost 3 hours & the battery is still at 100% (quite unbelievable but I'm so pleased!
1) GSM only most of the time. Data traffic & Wi-fi & GPS off WHEN not using 2) Brightness @ 50% 3) kill background apps from time to time (manually) 4) no live wall paper
