QUOTE(hsyong @ May 1 2011, 01:33 PM) Your custom mp3 tone is in the SD card folder right? This is a known Android 2.3 (not SE) bug. Even if i select any ringtone that comes with the phone preset..it still play the default.http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=13413 |

QUOTE(stevenX @ May 1 2011, 01:25 PM) question for u Thanks Steven for the prompt reply.1. did u on 3g ? if yes pls switch to 2g 2. did u use camera ? if yes than u might wan to go clear the app in running service, coz camera app bug will keep drain ur batteries .. so far .. im average user have more than 30hour of device alife time .. (on 2g + data + wifi + around 2hour of phone talking + alot whatsapp + light facebook + [not more than 30minute of total game play + youtube] ) and yes i did root .. im nt sure if it help to give batteries life.. but root giv me access to delete some stock app while always in the running service (this drain batteries and ram i think) now i had delete and no more longer see them in my running service .. so in this case, yes it safe batteries & ram my bet .. addon : i tried install advance task killer yesterday .. - easy for those who lazy to go in setting there kill running app .. and i found out .. it auto shut down my wifi or data when the screen goes black .. and it drain around 3-5mb of ram in running service to keep ATK alife .. so i uninstall it mainly coz it shut my data when screen goes dark .. this makes my gf scold me coz i duno her whatsapp msg arrive .. So far I have always been on 2g, wifi@home, data, 30mins email retrieval, Facebook and social stuff like msn and whatsapp.. My setting are cut to a minimal except my screen is around 50% (kinda dark compared to my nexus s). The rest of the settings are all minimal like no vibration for ringer and key press, no key press tones. For u to get 30hours per curate is pretty neat, compared to my 12 hours haha, maybe phone still new and intend to play with it a lot.. I don't use it for games or video. I think maybe I should just root this toy haha but afraid I might make it into a slim brick instead. By the way, any of you notice the white on the arc has a yellowish tint? Or is it just me..... Was comparing it to my wife nexus s. |

Yep...the white certainly isn't white however it is not very obvious looking directly to the screen. Try viewing the screen at the slightest angle and its obvious.
Tried typing white screen test at google. |

QUOTE(duxz @ May 1 2011, 10:33 PM) Thanks Steven for the prompt reply. Yes, the white has a yellowish tint. Compared to my Desire HD, the white is actually white. So far I have always been on 2g, wifi@home, data, 30mins email retrieval, Facebook and social stuff like msn and whatsapp.. Was comparing it to my wife nexus s. But when viewing photos, the Arc has more warmth and richer (even with Bravia OFF)... for Desire HD, the photo seems a bit pale. (I have compared with the SAME photo with both devices side by side) Maybe this is the compromise SE made for the "Reality Display" This post has been edited by hsyong: May 1 2011, 11:44 PM |

Just wipe it clean with some micro fiber cloth or the one used for glasses. Wont affect much on quality unless theres an inch of oil there |

QUOTE(darkdrew @ May 2 2011, 12:14 AM) help guys..my arc's camera lens has fingerprints on it..what should i do?does it affect the pics quality? I just wipe with my shirt. Don't worry too much about it.I'm very sure the camera glass cover for my N8 is scratch resistant type. And I think most brands are same, and I assume it's the same with Arc... but I can't positively confirm that This post has been edited by hsyong: May 2 2011, 12:35 AM |
