yaya...got used it awhile~ Got bug?!  shocking.gif
how to fix it?
1. Install a 3rd party camera app, problem solved (e.g. Vignette)

2. Or reboot after using SE camera

3. Or kill camera task after using SE camera (Settings > Applications > Running Services > tap "free ram" area at the bottom right and look for camera task (I HAVE NOT USED THIS METHOD BEFORE, you can try)

In the meantime, wait for SE firmware update smile.gif

Hi,

I understand that arc cant play .avi, .xvid, and other media files. So, which android player should I download? Plus, does the arc able to run .mkv, .xvid, (and other 720p shows) smoothly without any lag?

"Exmor R" is just a gimmicky name Sony gave to their backlit CMOS sensor. It's still just a sensor, and can't be ON sometimes or OFF sometimes.
All photos should have ISO adjusted automatically (unless there is a manual setting where you can choose your ISO). The above 2 shots may just be due to the camera software settings (ISO, shutter speed. aperture etc). Not related to Exmor R is in use or not.

Can actually check the settings if you have original photos.... compare the EXIF info of the two photos and post the data here and we can analyze together smile.gif

Hmm. did you use camera? There's a bug. It drains battery even after camera app exited.

im not sure if "exmor r" is just a gimmick but what i know techies sure give credit on that...
and i also give credit when taking pic at night with only led flash.. its as good as i have flash..
however, it still have visible noise especially during night shot

There are a few more settings that can save battery life:

1. Disable background data (enable only when needed, e.g, when u want to use the Market app)
2. Disable auto sync
3. Fix network to 2G (set to 3G when you need higher speeds, like downloading apps etc)

With these settings, the battery should drain abt 1% per hour when idle.

Some may say these type of settings don't do justice to a SMART phone, so it's up to you and depends on your own usage requirement. smile.gif

oh thanks for the note....i went to lowyat today...thinking whether should i get this phone or wait for SGS2 which is due god knows when...

Found out that silver is out of stock...only left midnight blue, but its a fingerprint magnet...the salesman said that blue allows the user to see the arc design, while silver is less visible. So they only restock midnight blue. Most ppl opt for midnight blue. What do you guys think?

Also, to those users who have been using arc for 1++ weeks, how's the phone? Is it worth to buy rather than waiting for newer phones in the market? Really in serious thoughts cause i truly love this design. Although SGS2 has better hardware but the design looks like a certain fruit product >.<

Ah the dilemma....

If u truly like the design, juz buy it.. Design is one of the main points for this arc besides the camera n BE..

If u r juz a casual user, arc is enuff..

Got it at the launching day and love it.

Technology will always be superseded by newer technology but a beautiful design is timeless, such as ARC.

Among all the black slab of smart phones, the ARC's design is really remarkable.

For exmaple, r u gonna get a

1) supermodel hot looking & above average smart girl

or

2) average so-so only nia looking but really smart girl?
