Also. there r cases where they just walk to ur home & drive the car away, what can u do when they r armed. for those who steal using crane - doesn't the Cobra come w/tilt sensors? any slight shift when the car is being lifted should set it off... |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Apr 27 2011, 10:11 PM) Just good quality PVC Coil Mat that I used to sell, cutted and side sewed into perfect fit size for Insight boot. Thanks anyway bro. I already have PVC coil mats... my SA threw it in FOC. front and back, and boot also. Am on the hunt for rubber Insight mats. All good quality PVC Coil Mat that I sell, can ask fellow bros here that bought from me. Any takers please? Need to close account for April... Don't wanna brought it down to next month.... Very nice price already RM280... Normally it should be RM300, and even RM360 from other thread. |

Don't like coil mats. Rubber mats look better and have better grip for your legs.

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Apr 27 2011, 10:34 PM) i'm sure yours is best bro, but IMHO, PVC is still PVC, no matter the quality. So I'll still try and hunt for my rubber. Found a few that sell OEM IN2 rubber mats but no shipping to MYS:http://www.insightaccessory.com/2010-2011-...-Mats-s/262.htm |

QUOTE(iphone @ Apr 28 2011, 10:43 AM) hey guys that tinted your Insight windows. Did you check the Puspakom certificate? I saw the reading shows Front 73, Side and Rear 71. Looks like any further tinting will make the VLT below the legal limit especially the front. my tinting shop assures me it's legal and promises that if i kena saman by JPJ, just bring to him and he'll refund. so i'm not so worried if my tint meets puspakom's guidelines or not.if they want to saman @ roadblock, i'll smile and tell them "pls go ahead". then bring receipt to my shop, ask him settle it himself. |

QUOTE(iphone @ Apr 28 2011, 10:53 AM) hmm I heard different kind of story about all these saman assurance. I was told you have to pay the saman and the shop replace the 'illegal' tint only. Thats what they meant by saman assurance. Sigh. if you are in PG/mainland, PM me. i can recc you my tinting shop. LLumar tint. I know the guy, so he will keep his word Actually did anyone encounter this issue before ? Do the shop really pay the saman on behalf for you and return the official PDRM/JPJ saman receipt or give you cash to pay the saman? If you did, please let me know which brand okay, hehe I wanna go for also. Headache searching for a good tint. |

QUOTE(iphone @ Apr 28 2011, 11:04 AM) Alamak me from PJ, Selangor. I shortlisted Llumar too after seeing a friend's car got smashed with an axe returning from a bank yesterday. I guess sometime is worth to pay extra for a proven safety tint. Yeah, the stronger LL tints can prevent up to 32kgs of force against a window (it just buys you more time to get away, won't stop the fella breaking into yr window eventually if he keeps on whacking it). My LL tint has security features... and 90% IRR reject rate. Meets my needs.. the next level up tint is 97% IRR... but costs RM1000 more. No point lah so expensive. Put a good car sunshade good enuff already. same effect |

QUOTE(cabalerro @ Apr 28 2011, 02:02 PM) drop by accessories shop yesterday..they pull out the cargo light cover n didnt find any unused or unconnected light cable bro... yes, i think u will need to tarik an addtl wiring from main batt all the way to the cargo light. might involve some plastic parts being removed to thread the wire... so run the risk of the pieces start to rattle. so need special wiring to tarik from main kotak la...i hold the thought first...maybe just go find that bicycle rider lamp "push" with batteries..stick under there haha i'm going to a few shops in town. then see which ones have it. |

Hey guys, I just got back from accessories shop... finally got my DRLs installed. Oh yeah baby
Decided to choose Philips DRL-5... it's more expensive, but it's from a proven OEM (Philips) and it looks so damn nice. I tried out a few other made-in-China options... but after seeing the Philips one... gone lah. Fall in love oredi! Lights auto come on when turn on ignition: ![]() Side view: ![]() When headlamps are on (configured the wiring so it stays on even when headlights on): ![]() Here's DRL-5 product packaging... ![]() Got it installed @ my fav accessories shop in PG - Neuton. They're a bit more expensive than others, but their workmanship is pretty good. They had to cut the black lower grille a bit... to fit the DRL-5 housing (just cut the vertical piece of plastic... saw it off a bit but it's not obvious). Then just tape the bottom of the DRL housing to the bottom grille. No need to drill holes etc. All-in-all, took about 30 mins to install. Then test and it works. There are 2 options to run this DRL... can configure so it turns OFF when headlamps turn on, but I decided to have it ON all the time (looks nicer @ nite). Total was around RM600 for the DRL + installation. If buy online & ship here, it's roughly same price. So far, so good. Onto next big project - ICE |

Also installed my boot lamp today.... 12-set hi-power LED. Since there's no existing wiring cable, accessories shop had to put in wiring... and pull cable to the junction box under the glovebox:
remove the side box where the boot lamp should be, and thread a wire inside... ![]() ![]() ![]() Less than RM50 total.. for installation + wiring + the actual LED kit. |

Added on April 29, 2011, 9:17 am QUOTE(devinz @ Apr 29 2011, 12:01 AM) Collected my wife's insight mid of march. Also 1 key with remote. I think earlier batch also same. Nope didn't read any post from earlier batches with 2 remotes... didn't ask mugen as i'm not interested in that... on the boot lamp, hard to take a pic of it "off" as it turns on the moment i open the hatch. Added on April 29, 2011, 12:04 am Nice one bro. Any luck for Mugen visor? For the boot lamp, any shot taken with the led off...the pic too bright. Can't see how the led set look like in actual.... maybe i can climb into the rear compartment from the passenger cockpit. then try snap a pic that way This post has been edited by infinitium: Apr 29 2011, 09:17 AM |
