yes this is one of the cons for putting apps in SD but you get to save some space at least. But even if you put it in SD, the app icon will appear just takes some time. Choose the apps you want to put in SD wisely

Why is it I kenot find some apps in my phone Market? e.g. Discovery Channel app. I can see it on my PC but not in my phone Market.

its possible the app is only available in the US region, same happens in apple's app store too. you can see it in pc probably because the web market didnt filter it but your phone version does. even if you could see it, sometimes you may not able to download it and get an error which is usually due to the region issue. You could try finding the APK from other sources and install it manually tho.

well its possible the content (such as videos) or certain aspects of the app is only available in US so that's why they made the app accessible in US region only.

Probably because papago not optimized for it yet? Try asking in the sensation thread. Maybe got sensation users who found a solution to the problem

Papago is not meant for a QHD resolution phone i guess. They might release and update soon.

hi all...i have an X8...just rooted with 2.2.....but my carrier name is missing....ive adjusted the PLMN settings and rebooted but to no avail....am I missing something here? like settings or components?

my current phone is SE Xperia X10 mini.

Again I just want to quickly summarises everything happened to my phone.
I sent for repair two days ago and yet no update from them yet (they asked me to wait for their update)

On thursday 06/16/2011 I've plugged in the charger at night for normal charging purpose, and in the next morning, I discovered that:

1) Cannot be turned ON while connected to charger or usb cable / not connected with charger or usb cable - both situation.
2) Cannot be turned ON whether with or without Sim card.
3) Cannot be turned ON with/without SD card.

I've tried all of solution options mentioned above.

When consulted with some local repairers,

1) Some claimed the battery
2) Some claimed the IC.

I am in quite complicated situation, I want to save the phone because we paid quite an amount to it.
I enjoyed the phone so much, only to be upset with this sudden turned OFF and cannot be turned ON.
Never ever happened before with other phones (Nokia, Motorola, HTC, even earlier sony ericsson products~!)

Hi all,i duno why i keep fail to update/download application from market
today,angry birds season got update,me from morning already update
keep say download unsuccessful or update unsuccessful
just now oni finish update it by turn off phone awhile and turn on then update oni work
so i continue download my angry birds rio,before tat my phone already installed,but in market say me no install at all
so i uninstall it and download again,download unsuccessful again
and its work,finish install
so in conclusion,how to solve this problem ??

i just bought Experia X8 2 days back. kinda new with this android phone and market.
so, yesterday, i started downloading a few apps.. well actually around 20.
downloading and installing it was a breeze. but after some time i got the message that i am low on space. it seems that it has been installed in my internal phone memory. so my questions are:

1)How do i install it in my card memory??
2)can i just try to find where is the app folder and and copy it to my memory card?? or must i delete it and download it again and set it to phone memory..which i don't know how to set.

root ur phone and install 2.2 custom rom ~

1) Which version of android is the X8 running? If it is not Android 2.2 or above, you cannot move the apps to the memory card. If it is Android 2.2 or above, you can go to the Settings > Applications page to move each application individually that you want to the memory card. Take note that it may take your phone longer to boot up because it is loading the app information from memory card instead of internal storage. Alternatively, you can try to get a 2.2 (or above) custom ROM (but you need to root your phone to do this). This is more troublesome to do for a first time android user, so I wouldn't suggest you to do this before googling and finding out how to do this because it might brick your phone if not done properly (brick = kill your phone, turning it into a useless brick).

2) Refer to point 1, you can move it from internal > sd card if it is on 2.2 or above. You do NOT need to download the app(s) again.

does that mean that i cannot move that app to the card?
in that case, is there no other way to download the application to my card other than rooting ??

yep, i'm kinda newbie and kinda scared to root my phone. is there anyone out there have rooted their experia X8?? please help me out as today i can feel that the phone is kinda lagging due to insufficient apace.
any help will be appreciated.

Other than rooting and/or using a custom ROM i dont really see much options here if you want to move apps to SD. this is one of the bigger limitations of android before 2.2. if you dont want to root perhaps you should reduce the number of apps installed by removing the ones you dont need and only keep the ones that you use/games that you really play.
