Hi,guys.I always use up all my phone battery and then baru charge.I heard if always drain all the battery and baru charge will hurt the battery and decrease battery life...issit true?any issue if left battery drain up and charge?
*
Battery used until 0% then only charge, will damage your battery. Charge as often and as frequent as you like, no need to charge to 100% every time.

Most notable change is the black interface for stock devices such as Nexus One and Nexus S and also the improved copy & paste functionality where you can drag a selection tip to select a specific text. In 2.2 I dont think you can do this.
*
2.2 also got selection tip to select text. But it's improved in 2.3.

What's TF? Asus Transformer?

Facebook - see if you have better luck with the mobile versions (but of course this is not the proper solution, just to temporarily get you going).

Videos - try MoboPlayer, one of the better players around.

QUOTE(lilantony @ Sep 11 2011, 10:09 PM)
hey there..
i'm using a samsung galaxy S i9000 phone running android 2.3.3 gingerbread.
not rooted not flashed. still in ori condition.

Normally the bottom part of the phone has a bar containing "Phone, Contacts, Messages and Applications"

But suddenly there's only one left which is "Application"
The other 3 disappeared. It's available under the application menu, but i have to click application to access them.

How do i re-add them back into the bottom menu bar?

I was searching around but couldn't seem to find it, hence, i'm posting here. Thanks in advance yea.
*
Go to app drawer, press Menu > Edit, and drag back your apps to the bar. Sorry, don't own an S, but that's how it works with Ace and SL.

I'm looking for a free dictionary to install. I have installed one but it requires internet connection to fetch the data. Is there any way to tell in Android market which are the ones that require internet connection to work and which can be used offline?
*
ColorDict. Offline, can install separate dictionary data as you need like English>English, English>Chinese, Thesaurus, etc.

QUOTE(ronaldkh @ Nov 5 2011, 10:51 AM)

Duh. Just that I don't why one needs a English -> English dictionary since it's already in English in the first place. If he's looking for synonyms then I can understand la.  whistling.gif

You are absolutely right! Time to burn all the Oxfords, Longmans, et al! Dictionaries should only be from one language to another~! laugh.gif

i know that  tongue.gif
but is there any other way to make it "easier" for one pic to set on mutliple contact???
using android ver 2.3.4
*
If you use MIUI, can batch set and delete contact photos, very useful. Otherwise, I think native Android don't have this option.

any applications that can hide picture file from show in gallery??
*
QuickPic can hide a gallery folder (but not individual pics). It can also require a password to show the hidden folders. I think it creates a .nomedia file in the folders to be hidden, which the gallery app will not show. BTW, QuickPic is a very fast and very capable gallery app replacement smile.gif

Why some apps cant be transferred to card?

The app was not written with the move to SD card feature. Or it's a widget.

those who using android wirh 24/7 switch ON your data..
is it normal without using it for surf, streaming, read email and etc, your android still transmit around 2mb per day??
*
It's normal to have some background data being transferred for your autosync (calendars, FB, email, etc). Not sure about the data volume, though. 2MB seems ok.

QUOTE(Dan Peng @ Mar 29 2012, 06:11 PM)
Wanna ask. Why when i transfer the apps from my phone to SD card the size of the file changes from 20+ MB to <1 MB? So what is actually transferred to the card? If i take out the card and plug it into another phone that means I can use the apps in the card although its transferred there?

Also what is a recovery?? Can I use any recovery for any ROMs? Or there are specific recovery for specific ROMs?
*
20+MB is the bulk of the app size, the files being moved to SD card means only left <1MB of files in your phone memory. You cannot use the app by changing SD card, you need to install the app. If you want to transfer the installation file to someone else (maybe they don't have net access), copy out the APK from phone/data/app (you need root privilege to access the phone memory).

Recovery is a part of the bootup (before launching the OS) for you do to things like format phone, flash ROM, etc. Think of it as the BIOS of a PC. Some ROMs have requirements such as EXT4 support, so you need to use certain recovery which supports EXT4.

Is it alright if i charge my phone when it isnt low battery or charge it from halfway. Would it spoil or weaken the battery.
*
Charge as often and as much as you like regardless of whether it's half or empty. Emptying the battery will weaken it.

hmm.gif  Two contradictory answers. haha.

Anyway, what do you mean by emptyin the battery. You mean drain the battery until 0 when the phone shuts itself down? How does it weakens. I've never heard of such a thing.  blink.gif
*
Nowadays batteries have no memory effect. Emptying your battery before charging it does weaken it. Just Google around.

Guys ,

Can all HTC phones be rooted ? Is the android version a problem ?

Newbie here
*
I think so. Earlier ones like Legend is VERY troublesome to root. The newer ones should be easy since they supposedly come with bootloaders unlocked. Android version not a problem, just maybe your bootloader HBOOT version. For some phones, different versions require different methods.

Use another browser, eg. Dolphin Mini. The 'exit' button itself is worth using this browser.
