Well i usually have no issues streaming 480p videos smoothly on my laptop even after considering my slow internet. The same cannot be said about my phone.

This is why I'm wondering if there are hardware and software limitations inherent in the phone itself that leads to this scenario.

But then under ZIP, it has fastboot, signed and debugable again, inside fastboot folder, it has a lot of files, cm-12.1-YOG4PASxxx-ham-signed-fastboot.zip again. Really appreciate if someone can guide me.

hi guys, any j7 users here or general samsung users?

i bought j7 but the keyboard was different than the asus that i used before

basically i wanted to use

handwriting for chinese
qwerty for english

however, j7 only allows swapping of keyboard with the same type, like handwriting for both chinese and english.

if i chnaged it to samsung keyboard with qwerty, it doesnt allow me to change back to handwriting unless i go to setting > keyboard and set main keyboard to handwriting keyboard again

any fixes?

I suspect virus in my smartphone - smsreg, com.android.*.*, com.Google.android.voices - have disabled them.

can I delete them (how?), shld I repair phone at low yat plaza, or shld I just ignore them, etc...? TY.

(FYI, after disabling suspected virus and rebooting, I get extra 140mb free space back. BTW, someone told me to reformat - what is that in s/phone?)

some 'apps,plugin' under apps - their disable buttons are already dimmed - cannot disable (or enabled either). Some like ConfigUpdater, Basic Daydreams, GooglePartnerSetup, KeyChain, MagicSmokeWallpapers, Omacp, PhaseBeam, PicasaUploader, VCalender, VoiceCommand, VpnDialog- unsure whether will disable important programs. Some like WorldClock, VoiceUnlock, FusedLocation, EngineerMode - their Disabled and ForceStop button are already dimmed - cannot disabled.

you advised to disable them - will virus continue operate after disable? Factory reset - will reset kill the virus at root vs erase data only? ???!!!

think I will not root phone. ah ha-ha.

Will rooting remove all data in my phone ?

Btw, I have just root my smartphone.

[What I meant by rooting was to install the KingUser app in my pc, and then plugged my smartphone to root]

I am not sure what the fad about rooting is all about.

[1] There are no noticeable increase in my Internal storage.

[2] Still unable to uninstall many bloatwares [it shows as 'unremovable' in the KingUser list of apps]

However, on the positive side, I noticed that the Interface changed a bit, but that's about it.

Funny....i can see my video at "my files/ dcim/ gallery/ sd card". But when i clicked at gallery fr my home page, there is no video, only can c pictures in the respective folders. Any idea how to solve this?

1. Can view only photos at gallery.
2. If go to "my files or explorer"', can view photos, VIDEO etc.

somehow, the videos r not populated in Gallery. Tried google the issues, still cant fix it...

Recently bought a Zuk Z1 and there is a Cyanogen Preview watermark on bottom right of screen. Is this a legit international set? If so, how to get the OTA update from it? I have manually click check for updates but it just said no updates available and there are a few more versions already after the current version of the device.

Currently on Cyanogen 12.1 YOG4PAP1CG. Will there be OTA update for it? Since it's a preview version. Not sure if it's the original Zuk CyanogenOS or it's a CyanogenMod. The software build is from Aug if not wrong.

Stock recovery is showing Cyanogen word on top one right? Is there anyway to check if my device has been rooted the unroot before and bootloader is unlocked? I tried to load the bootloader and the screen is showing a linux penguin icon in middle of screen. Is that a lock or unlock bootloader?

Tried it and it just stuck on waiting for device. adb devices can see the device though but not fastboot device. The screen shows a penguin icon which i think is linux logo? Is that the fastboot mode?
