Guys, I have some question on dual sim android and how it works. Would be nice if someone can explain to me what is dual sim standby and dual sim active.
ok, here is the case.
number A - bind with Whatsapp, no data plan
number B - with data plan.
If i put sim A and B into a dual sim phone, even if i turn on number B's data plan, I am still not able to receive whatsapp on number A right? any way to make number A receive Whatsapp while number B's data plan is on?
And another question, can i use number B to surf the web while still able to receive call from number A? This requires a dual active phone right?
DSDA (DualSIM DualActive) and DSDS (DualSIM DualStandby) are very self explanatory.
Back to your question. Using SIM B data while trying to received msg from WhatsApp are possible, because it have nothing to do with neither both of your SIM cards. Because msg from WhatsApp are came from data networks or WiFi as long the numbers (SIM A) are binded (activated) with your WhatsApp on your phone, you won't have any problems even thou you swap out the SIM A to somewhere put aside, and put SIM C in your previous SIM A tray. Or in another word, as long your SIM A have been activated on the phone WhatsApp, even you took out both SIM, you still can received msg, as long you don't try to put the SIM A to another 2nd phone to activate with WhatsApp again, or else the server will kick you out from the first phone earlier.
To surf SIM B data, and receive call from SIM A doesn't require DSDA, what DSDA means is, you can use both SIM A and B to make call at the same time or use data at the same time, Honor 7 should have this feature for dual data at same time, but not for dual call at same time, is kinda complicated.
