If you're planning to study masters by coursework, its best to take up a position as lecturer./research assistant so that you noneed to pay the study fees
If by research and dissertation, yeah, there will be a lot of scholarships to choose from

One more question. If its a MIN 3 sem course, and normally its 4 semesters, does that mean it is advised to take 4 semester as 3 sem will be very packed? What is the norm for this?

yes 2 persons per room. the room is kinda small though. ngam2 for 2 persons and no space for anything else. but the college is kinda nice. all the facilities are there. cafeteria, phone shop, ATM, surau with air cond, lift, grocery shop.

i just realized that most UM fella in LYN are related to IT, well basically i loved Programming, even took IT during my SPM an aiming for Computer Science....but landed on TESL instead...haih....anyway, my final paper will be on 12 may, after that im out! how about you all? and redscorpion, im degree too actually, final year...hehehe....

3 or 4 years ago, the foundation students can bring motorcycles and even cars. but not now apparently. the rules are stricter now as the amount of cars in UM everyday makes the road jams in the morning and in the evening after work. if im not mistaken, at the moment only first year and above can bring a motorcycle and only fourth year and above can bring a car into UM. but thats on the paper.

practically, the guards are quite lenient as they dont really check who comes in and out from UM. they only check it randomly so if u arent lucky enough they wont let u in. good luck then

And KK12 has lower tendency to suffer from water disruptions and monkey attacks~
But depending on which block you stay, you might need to bear with the stench from the nearby ISB farm

But if one plans on working part time or have other more important stuffs to attend to, or if one learns slightly slower, 4 sems will be better

how about a car then? no senior want to borrow eh?

anyway, just bring ur own transport la... in UM, the transport facility very horrible.. and on peak hour, the buses mostly full

well, are undergrads aware that you guys had took away postgraduate's car park when you guys drive in your car?

we compromise our research grant for you guys to do final year project, supervised your research work so that you will not screwed up the lab or explode the machines, teach you guy whatever we know to make you a better person... and you guys return by take away our car parks...

Now that the IPS's original car park was "upgraded" in to a new, big building (which I've heard has no car parks at all [good work UM btw ]), things are going to get a lot messier soon haha~
Luckily I always come early...

Added on May 10, 2011, 8:38 amOne things for sure, the bus services are horrible haha.... but we've seen big improvements compared to 3 years ago (during my 1st year)
Not punctual, I've never had the chance to take the bus before lol, it always starts with me (in good mood), waiting for the bus, and then it never came, in the end I walked (and still faster than the damn bus)

mind letting us know which area does this thing occur? which faculty? i dont think this problem occurred at FSKTM as the parking area is quite big and spacious.

IIMS, all college only provide wifi only... the only college than still provided LAN connection is KK10( i heard internet speed there very fast)
