im not sure if u guys can choose ur own room mate. maybe if u guys come early in the morning then perhaps u guys can choose i guess?

i recall that i didnt have any books at all last time lol. i only jot down the notes given by the lecturer on the screen. the lecturers didnt give any handout nor online notes.

yes the fees are subsidized, and u'll also receive some pocket money. iinm its rm1k per semester.

owh really? lucky then for u guys. it was only rm1k for me 

so when is the exact date u guys have to register? is it stated already which college will u guys be staying at? 12th college i presume?

Is this for degree or PTPTN you guys are talking about? Any financial assistance for postgrad at UM?

For postgrads:
If you're planning to study masters by coursework, its best to take up a position as lecturer./research assistant so that you noneed to pay the study fees 
If by research and dissertation, yeah, there will be a lot of scholarships to choose from

Wah, my research institute is just opposite KK12 
Nice hostel I would say, one of the best around 

yes 2 persons per room. the room is kinda small though. ngam2 for 2 persons and no space for anything else. but the college is kinda nice. all the facilities are there. cafeteria, phone shop, ATM, surau with air cond, lift, grocery shop.

3 or 4 years ago, the foundation students can bring motorcycles and even cars. but not now apparently. the rules are stricter now as the amount of cars in UM everyday makes the road jams in the morning and in the evening after work. if im not mistaken, at the moment only first year and above can bring a motorcycle and only fourth year and above can bring a car into UM. but thats on the paper.

practically, the guards are quite lenient as they dont really check who comes in and out from UM. they only check it randomly so if u arent lucky enough they wont let u in. good luck then 

IIMS, all college only provide wifi only... the only college than still provided LAN connection is KK10( i heard internet speed there very fast)

I am pretty sure all college dont provided LAN in their room, except KK10( their server didnt cap the bandwidth also )
last time im working with PTM, in whole UM actually got 1000 access points, so most of the place are wifi covered.
only very small area not getting the signal because of the building design mostly.

i got um too..KK12...nice to meet u.. ..so um got limit or not to go out before the gate is closed..

The only time there was "curfew" was during election time and some other cases e.g. examination hall burning, pig head throwing, and hostel thefts

same goes to me..haha..actually im waiting for my MARA scholarship result..if dont get then UM will be my first choice..already turn down utp to make r room for UM..     ....

Yup, there will be Pembantu Mahasiswa (PMs) 
I'm not sure whether the orientation is still the same as the previous years... but if there's cases of ragging, report straightaway, you have your rights 

P/S:
For the new juniors, do check out the library, student clinic and sports center when you have the time, its worth going 
And there's the Rimba Ilmu as well, nice place to relax and let mosquitoes bite 

i was a PM and im not a nerdy college's slave okay   

no doubt the cheering and sub during orientation week were the only fun stuffs in it. sweet memories they are.. 

but i dont think there will be cheering and sub for PASUM's orientation week right? who are they going to fight against actually? only one residential college during the orientation week.

LOL, sorry if u got offended redscorpy. i dunno bout othe college but at my college it was. so annoying la those PMs. shout here n there trying to show whos the boss here. some even cross the line by torturing juniors for no particular reason, this is not a boarding school era mind them.
