Just curious, based on the video poster above, when the commentator was playing the videos on both the Transformer and iPad2... I've noticed that the screen on the Eee Pad is relatively dimmer....
I understand that both uses the same screen technology right? Why is there a difference then? Or maybe its because of the brightness settings on the Transformer?  sweat.gif
Any sifu know? Thanks thanks  notworthy.gif

Man I'm really poisoned by the Transformer la  rclxm9.gif

It's because Apple iPad uses IPS LCD screeen from LG, Samsung and Chimei. ASUS Transformer's LCD is made by HannStar ...

Motorola Xoom - 3G cdma & wifi - mini USB - 3G GSM still not available
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v - no USB & no HDMi port ( 3G available )
Toshiba ANT - wifi only
Asus eee pad transformer - wifi only (both USB at docking system )

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 & 8.9 ( not yet launch )

Why arent any of these 'current" Honeycomb 3.0 got all in one spec, full size USB, sd card, HDMI,3G GSM bundle together.

Most of 3G GSM Honeycomb will launch later of the year....( iPad2 will sold by millions by that time )

strange....

honestly i can live without full USB port...

HTC Flyer has 3G modem though... and will ve Honeycomb...

but with tethering, is there really a need for 3G modem?

I don't want to, never did a bulk before. Maybe can ask them experienced bulkers.
I might this August. If not next year.
But considering that local pricing is RM1799 with the keyboard dock, it's not such a bad deal. We'll just wait another 8 more days and see.

If retail price is RM 1,799..
I wonder what price is Lowyat seller at Garage sales going to sell at? biggrin.gif

anyone seen this?
Prize: 1 ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 16G WiFi with the keyboard dock. Approximate retail value (“ARV”): RM1,799.

Looks like no bulk needed from U.S.

Asus price is heaps good over ipad here in Msia.... if without the keyboard dock (also if the price mentioned is confirmed)

I wonder how much it would cost (minus the keyboard) hmm.gif

Should be RM1,499 without keyboard - according to TW pricing as well. Don't expect crazy US$399 cause ASUS has to fight with Apple's iPad2 there

If by analogical reasoning, since US pricing is 399 USD, then over here should be RM13xx. If it is that price, then I can safely say, Asus has won the local Android tablet market for now.

Apple is trying to win in another area...

parts supply...

now basically is whoever can meet the demand will dominate the market...

Yeah, but considering that the other Droid tablets are few and far between it's hard to see who has the best supply now.

Except Samsung.

But they have to do the same here also since the Ipad2 pricing is very competitive in here too. RM 1,499 and you bags the Ipad 16GB Wifi. brows.gif hmm.gif

Yes, but HannStar just recently switch from MVA to IPS screen, hence explain some quality difference. Hopefully in the future, there is improvement...
