That's what I am trying to explain - Apple's efficient distribution system make the most aggressive price at worldwide level, Malaysia and HK especially cause of no tax...
ASUS has to go through multiple level of distribution from principal to distributor to dealer to end user make the price become mark up compared to Apple's direct conversion price (US$499 x 3 = RM1,499).
Will ASUS's EEE Pad which retail at US$399 sell for RM1,199 (US$399 x 3) - no. I'm afraid the price would be US$399 x 4 RM1,599 - hence more expensive than iPad2...

Hmmm, interesting stuff. We could see a Tegra 3 equipped tablet as early as September. http://techreport.com/discussions.x/20891

No matter how cheap, I will always stay away from Apple products until their devices meets my hassle-free requirement.

I'll wait for Transformer V2. Hopefully it'll be out and I'll be in the US by then.

I think Tegra 3 is where I draw the line. Unless Tegra 4 can run a super tablet optimized version of Windows (highly doubtful) very very well, I think it's good enough.

well, at least for Galaxy SL, they did state the change in hardware...
but not so for Galaxy Tab WiFi... the hardware is stated to be the same as Galaxy Tab 3G...

In that case, kinda feel sorry for the Tab WiFi owners.

Yeah, I heard about the wifi signal loss too. But didn't know that they downgraded to TI processor. This post has been edited by RayKazansky: May 6 2011, 12:02 AM
