QUOTE(canjeth @ May 2 2025, 01:19 AM) No, the 1% is neither annualised nor is it a dividend. It is the exact percentage of your deposit amount, which in this case is RM10k x 1% = RM100. As simple as that. It is up to you whether you want to annualise that yield amount based on when you make the deposit and withdrawal. QUOTE(LostAndFound @ May 2 2025, 07:47 AM) Most 'efficient' way is to deposit end of July, withdraw as soon as the 'tempoh pengekalan' finishes. Effective annual rate calculated in a previous post, but you're not going to get that sort of rate anywhere else with guaranteed capital. not a bad deal, i am just comparing it with FD, say its 3.7% (HLBB) if 10K for min 3 mths FD, you will get RM92.5Some will consider it too much hassle, of course, so up to individual. I'm planning a significant amount. For GK, with 10k, you will get 100, say you put in on July and withdraw early Oct (2+ months). Just not sure any withdrawal fees? if they reflect that 100 in Oct, you still get at least 2-3 months (not sure how they count) interest for 2025. Is that a right assumption? |

QUOTE(stevenlee @ May 2 2025, 09:27 AM) i try to understand the GK as well.. Only apply to the additional 1k or whatever amount you deposit within that 3 months periodif i save RM1K during that time period, the additional 1% will only apply to RM1k that i save or apply to the whole saving i have inside? |

Have not tried withdrawing from SSPN account? Is it very difficult to withdraw from the ptptn counter as I don’t intend to open BI account. How long does it take to withdraw from counter?

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Jun 12 2025, 09:47 AM) Hi I have a newborn this year. Plan to create a new SSPN account for him to start saving for education fund + reduce tax. For first time registration, what do I need to bring? I can only register via walk in right? Yes, everything can be done online. No need to walk inAppreciate the advice upfront. Thanks. |

Not good at calculation, is the 1% good enough for the few months to cover the say FD of 3.5% now?
or vs. EPF of just say 5.5% for the rest of the months for 2025 This post has been edited by leanman: Jul 23 2025, 01:46 PM |

QUOTE(gooroojee @ Jul 28 2025, 10:47 AM) The 1% loyalty bonus it is effectively 6% per annum in extra dividend, because your funds only need to stay in your SSPN Prime account for two months—from August to September 2025. You can withdraw the deposited funds from October 2025 onwards. In this scenario, if I withdraw RM2k in October, I still have a net RM8k there to utilise it for the tax deduction, right?During that time, the deposited funds will also earn the regular dividend, which was 4.05% per annum in 2024. In short, your effective return is likely around 10% per annum for two months. Deposit RM 10,000 on 31 July. Withdraw 6 October. Get extra RM100 as 1% loyalty bonus. |

He just started working and I am continuing to claim as well, till i retires or SSPN stops the tax benefit Does anyone know if I deposit RM8000 to my child older than 18 years old but still pursuing a diploma or degree private college/university is eligible for the income tax relief? QUOTE(Super2047 @ Dec 2 2025, 08:43 PM) I deposited RM8k last year December and withdrawn it in January this year. Do I need to double up the contribution to RM16k in order to be eligible for tax deductions? Yes Super2047 liked this post
