Have not tried withdrawing from SSPN account? Is it very difficult to withdraw from the ptptn counter as I don’t intend to open BI account. How long does it take to withdraw from counter?
*
Went today. It's easy. Take a number, go to counter, just have a fill in a form with some basic details. And thats it.

Lady mentioned it might take a few days to see the credit though, so its not instant.

The withdrawal days seems like T+4. A bit long though. For smaller amount I think better go for BI
*
And update, money is in. So it's like T+2 since I did it on Wed.

I'm pleasantly surprised.

Every few years also have? I don't even know what the 1% extra is based on, whether the current balance or the new balance.
*
For this year, the 1% is based on new funds up to RM8k of deposit. So it's RM80 that you need to keep for entire year.

That's why I went to take everything out except RM20 to keep the account active.

Put in EPF better.

I thought forummers mentioned the 8K is the max loyalty bonus you will get.
Which means you can put 800k to get 8k loyalty bonus.
800k X 1% = 8k

Not max 8k you put in to get max 80 loyalty bonus
*
That sounds much better.

But even at 4.05% + 1% = 5.05%, without the 8k tax relief I am still worse off.

But for those who get the 8k tax relief, this is a gooding deal.

PSA: SSPN deposit by 31 July for extra 1% ganjaran on the amount in SSPN, if no withdrawals made from Aug-Sept.

clever people have worked out this is 10% p.a. returns.

I just noticed that SSPN maximum tax relief is RM8000 for one household wef 2025.
Meaning if father deposited 8000 for child A & mother deposited 8000 for child B, the maximum to claim is only 8000 in this household.
Anyone have more info on this.
*
Yes. So the parent will have to choose who gets the relief.
