QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jul 1 2021, 07:12 PM)
interest is paid for amount saved from 5th to next month 5th,

if your balance on 5.5.21 = RM50k  and you  WD 50k out on 4.6.21- you get  zero interest for that 50k

If you WD RM50k out on 6.6.21 you get interest for that 50K 1 month

So deposit just before 5th, WD just after 5th any month

Say you deposit RM10k on 20.5.21, when  they  calculate interest on 5.6.21, the 10k receive 0 interest
*
So if wanna play this bank in and withdrawal game should we go like this:
1. 1st to 5th of the month bank in say 100K.
2. on the 6th of the month withdraw 100K (with rm20 balance) in it.
3. so i will be earning 1mth interest with full interest say 4% for the 100K, is that correct?
4. Next month i repeat the same thing to earn the monthly interest....

Am i doing it correctly? any sifu can advise?

While waiting for responses, you can try mentally test it out using bank 1 fd as subject
In 4 of the month out 6 of next month, will get 1 Yr interest?

whats the difference between SSPN interest and FD interest? Is it SSPN is by month and FD interest is by day?

You mean you put rm100K 5days want to get  30days interest? How can lah?
SSPNi  will go bankrupt also if their system calculate that way

We can never beat the system. The bank/sspni/KWSP will always win,
taking advantage of our deposits  pay interest less days than they should.

In SSPN, if you  deposit money on 6th, you lose 29-30days interest, as it starts count only next month 5th onwards.
Same like KWSP, you deposit on any day also, interest starts count next month 1st, that means  deposit on 29th-30th lose 1-2 day,
deposit on 2nd lose 27-29days interest

No way you can gain and let the bank lose.........the only i know is using bank credit card ZERO fee zero interest balance transfer.

People are talking how to beat the system is to NOT to put 5D try get interest for 30D.............
It is to reduce our LOSSES, ie try to minimise the days we lose interest,
so in SSPNi  the minimum loss is 1 day, if deposit on 4th, interest starts count on 5th onwards.

You want to try deposit on 5th, you may lose 30days you take the risk, as we are not sure how the internal system work.
definitely, who is going to pay us extra interest?

im not too sure how to play this game either hence im asking....Apparently thats what the others here are saying, if wanna put in money pls dump in before 5th of the month interest will be calculated based on the total amount on the 5th of the month.... anything after the 5th there will be no interest..... logically speaking if SSPN is a bank yes.... they will not do this way! however this is SSPN..... fortunately they r not a bank.... SSPN also allows withdrawal at any time unlike FDs in bank.... hence this is a huge difference. Anyone knows if ur interest in SSPN is forfeited if u make a withdrawal? so far i havent' read anything about it... only maybe u r disqualified for their SSPN lucky draw..... thats about it.

U also mentioned that any money that is bank in after 5th of the month will not get any interest....who would want to put any money in then? if i got extra money i would put it elsewhere ...will come back when its 1st of the month.... their SSPN dividend calculator is also not working hence its quite hard to see how they calculate internally...

You quote the answer but.... still say don't understand?

The primary concept of 'minimum balance' is the key. It's not about 'forfeit' any interest, its that interest is calculated based on minimum balance within the month (where the month starts on 5th). That's why anything you deposit AFTER the 5th won't earn interest. And if you withdraw before the 5th also won't earn interest on that amount.

But if let's say you start with 10k.

And on the 6th you deposit 20k (this amount won't earn interest).

Then you withdraw the 20k on the 7th, no difference. Because you still won't earn interest on that amount anyway.

But if you are now on the 4th of the next month, you deposit back that 20k. Means the 5th you have 30k. If you maintain 30k throughout (never go below it) for the next 30/31 days you will get that month's interest for 30k.

thanks for the clarification....im looking for confirmation....as im not too sure if what im assuming is correct....nvrtheless thanks yah!

Also to those who wanna withdrawal from SSPN to their bank acc, pls note u can withdraw only once per day.... so dont split ur withdrawal to multiple.... just do it once in lump sum .... Also just noticed that SSPN is actually using Bank Islam IBG transfer (back end system) to do their transaction.... no wonder BI has all the privilages.....
