I have a P9X79 PRO motherboard and an Intel I7 4820k processor. The problem is my BIOS is an old one (1104) and I will need to convert it to .CAP and then flash it to the BIOS that supports IVB-E. I have successfully flashed the mobo with the BIOS converter however the system needs to boot in order for the process to be done right?
So conclusion, I will either need to get a i7 3xxx series LGA 2011 processor or can I send to an ASUS Service Center for BIOS flashing?
Please advice.
Hi shinjite,
You can use the USB flashback for this model. Below is the guide on how to do it. No CPU require when doing the BIOS update.
wta, on Mobo Hero Vi, previously my window able to detect my HDD that plug into ASMEdia Sata port. after dissemble my PC and re-hook up everything again and boot into window, it is unable to detect my HDD.

Hi sai86,
May I ask have you try other Asmedia port or any non Asmedia port to see whether it can detect the SSD or not?
Back in 2012, I bought a graphic card Asus GTX 680 DirectCU-2 TOP Edition (GTX680-DC2T-2GD5) from a local shop here in Malaysia. This shop have since been closed down, unfortunately.
Firstly can I check if this card has 3 years warranty?
Secondly, is it possible to directly RMA with Asus in Malaysia here?
Thanks
Hi Hornet,
Do PM me your graphic card serial number, and ASUS graphic has 3 years warranty counting from the date of purchase.
And can you provide me the details where you bought it and what is the name of the shop.
My asus 970 strix have coil whine when running windows experience index on windows 7. But dind't notice when gaming on FF14 or D3 ROS. Close the side casing can't listen at all.
Does the coil whine affect the life span? Just minor i need my ear close to casing to spot it.
Hi pot,
Coil Whine won't reduce he life span, and if you have any problem on the card, the card is covered in 3 years warranty.
Thanks for the reply ASUSMy. I am very interested in purchasing the ASUS RAIDR EXPRESS SSD. Do you think it will be available in our country soon? Can I preorder from ASUS MY HQ?
Hi kraizer81,
Sorry to inform you that after I checked with my PM, the ASUS RAIDR EXPRESS SSD is EOL already.
Hi, it seems that you have not given an answer about the PB278Q. Is it available now? If not, would it be brought in? I would also like to know if there is any other model with the spec of 2560x1440 or 2560x1600, IPS or PLS panel, 27" and below that is currently available and soon to be released?
Hi pu27,
We are currently selling PB287Q in the Malaysia market now. As for the PB278Q, we don't have any new on whether we going to bring in or not yet. Do follow our FB for the latest news on our news products.
Can I take the picture of the box (with serial number) instead or I must take the photo with the graphic card? Because the card has been installed into my computer... Thanks.
Hi yaphong,
Sorry you will need to take the picture of the serial number from the graphic card as a prove that you got the actual card.
