We are back with the second installation of ASUS & NVIDIA Gamers' Gathering 2014. Similar to the first installation, attendees will get the opportunity to interact directly with a NVIDIA Representative with regards to its Desktop GPU segment. Apart of discussing GPU and GTX Technology, the main highlight of the event is the exclusive live demonstration of NVIDIA G-SYNC Technology here in Malaysia. Steam Machine and SteamOS will also be featured in this gathering.

Last but not least, ASUS Malaysia is collaborating with IAHGames to showcase Blacklight Retribution which is yet to be launched locally.

We are still waiting for it's allocation. Hopefully by next week we are able to update here.

At the moment, the MATRIX GTX 780 Ti Platinum is expected to arrive around early to mid May. As for STX II, it should be available within this 2 weeks. Someone in audiophiles sub-forum is testing it now, let's wait for his experience sharing.

There's no news from NVIDIA just yet. However, AMD is coming up with a new game bundle program by the end of the month.


Currently we are planning on 4K monitors and the PG278Q. As for PB278Q, it seems that there are plenty of enquiry on it and we are in the midst of discussion whether to bring it in or not. We will update here once everything is finalized.

The upcoming Intel 9 series motherboard lineup is going to be equipped with Intel Gigabit Ethernet. Because having the full triad of Intel hardware on your PCB (CPU, PCH, LAN) gives better compatibility, energy savings (the I217-V uses just 50mW when the connection is idle, down from a typical 500mW) and the chip itself can offload UDP/TCP checksums from the CPU, reducing PCH-CPU traffic and overall CPU use. If you are looking at the GPU itself only, which is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, then perhaps it looks more expensive. However, if you look at the added features in the Matrix product line, then it may justify the pricing. Under ROG flagship, the Matrix main design DNA is OverClocking. Therefore the Matrix GTX 780 Ti Platinum has been beefed up in that sense. You can refer to the link below for clearer picture. On a side note, owikh84 tested a few GTX 780 Ti and the Matrix turned out to be best in OverClocking.
