hmm ... isn't it only USD399 for 16 GB at state ? That's quite a big difference from RM1750.

that price excluding local US states tax and cost of shipping + tax in malaysia + profit margin.

do you think people sell things for charity and bear all the cost for you?

i'm not trying to be a b**** here, you can always buy it in singapore starting middle of may for SGD$699. just a little bit cheaper than the price irwan stated.

i hope maxis price it right, i know xoom is expensive everywhere.
i already sold my ipad1 anticipated for any reasonably price honeycomb tablet or ipad2, whichever comes first with the right price.

regarding ipad2, with all the rumours and sightings of ipad2 stocks in some resellers store, plus some stores secretly taking pre orders, it is pretty much confirmed ipad2 will be launched on the same date as singapore which is 29th april.

- maxis also hiring part time promoters for ipad data plan for the weekend throughout the month of may.
- machines hiring temporary sales assistant for 29th & 30th april.

According to transformer hardware review video posted by asus... It's say 3G "module" is optional... If they say model I can understand... But I kinda feel asus gonna come out with something like 3g usb stick..

But I may be wrong...

ok, my mistake, confuse that was the official Asus launch and pricing.

Comparing iPad2 with Transformer, It is USD399 vs USD 499 at US but it is SGD699 vs SGD728 at Singapore. For whatever reason, it seems the Transformer is price higher for this part of the world.

The reason is currency exchange... But with RM going strong against US... we might see the price become reasonable...

1USD = RM3

i will wait for maxis xoom pricing first (provided they announce it before ipad2 on sale), if it's too expensive i will buy ipad2 as well, no other choice. i can change to honeycomb tablet later on and sell ipad2.

apple product very easy to sell, i sold my ipad1 last sunday after a few hours posted it online for sale. laugh.gif

I couldn't wait and ordered one from Taiwan through Ebay, got it yesterday smile.gif

This little baby is gorgeous, but as has been reported, the Honeycomb software is still buggy and had frequent crashes. I got an OTA firmware update last night, hopefully that stabilizes things a bit.

Impressions:

1. Screen is nice, but very reflective, especially in bright conditions.
2. Fantastic for reading ebooks and magazines - form factor just nice and easy to hold for long periods.
3. Not many Honeycomb optimized apps yet - most are just direct ports from Froyo versions.
4. Asus built in apps all work great.

It was RM2250, plus RM150 for delivery. Yes, including the keyboard dock. But keyboard dock also out of stock in Taiwan till end of April, so I asked the seller to send me the tablet first tongue.gif

Yup, there's a mini HDMI port on the tablet itself. I tried it just now, it worked for 5 mins then suddenly the eee pad died and refused to start! I think cheapo hdmi cable, sigh. Luckily, after 10 mins the eee pad restarted without any side effects.

He has bad comments on the XOOM
