I got the card via phone calling as well.  But she didn't mention this to me.

Did she offer you anything? I mean like rebate or Welcome Bonus?

If you get from Expedia, the 10% upfront is based on your total ticket price but the 5% is still capped at RM 50. You should go calculate the different prices between both then only decide.
*
I thinking this way because

Example
MY to Taipei
Air Asia RM800 (direct air asia only rebate RM50) but if expedia upfront RM800 - 80 = RM720 then minus 50 become RM670 right?

You are welcome!  laugh.gif
Erm, I was offered the card by phone calling, back in October. She offered me RM150 Welcome Bonus, with 3 swipes within 60 days from the card approval date. At that time, she said that the Welcome Bonus would be credited into my credit card account in 3 phases, each phase with the amount of RM50, starting from the third month. Somehow, within 90 days, the RM150 Welcome Bonus has been credited into my cc account, in a lump sum.  laugh.gif

Where did you applied for your card?
*
I received my call last week and get my card within a week... mine don't have RM150 rebate i think!! damn!!!

Is both the AA price and Expedia price the same? And is the 10% upfront apply to air tickets from Expedia? If yes then go ahead.

I checked RM949(expedia) vs Rm917(AirAsia)

Mean Expedia price RM949 - RM95(upfront)+RM50 = 804
meanwhile Air Asia is RM917 - RM50 = RM867

Perhaps the promotion / offer is not the same for everyone. In this thread, some posted that they were offered RM200 Welcome Bonus. It is okay also since there will be a RM50 Welcome Bonus to offset the GST. laugh.gif

Should it be RM949 - RM94.90(10% upfront) - RM42.71(5% cash rebate) = RM811.40? hmm.gif

In addition, some forumers here said that ticket purchases made through AirAsia website did not come with the 20% cash rebate. blush.gif

I just got my welcome bonus RM200 dy for Cash Rebate Plat, after called CS. Seems they forgot to give it after more than 90 days using my new card ...

Well, i was actually offered rm150 during telemarketing call, so the extra is a nice surprise.

The CS line was quick, nice and friendly, very quick access by phone menu, unlike some International bank which had to go through many menus.

Guy 1 question, I just get my platinum cash rebate. If i purchase flight ticket at expedia mean i get 10% upfront rebate and 5% cash rebate right?

Because Rm50 capped on airlines so I was thinking buy from expedia get more
*
As what I remember, 10% upfront discount only applicable for hotel booking, not for flight.

Unless I missed it?
