I nvr did any BIOS update b4 even on my Asus mobo(desktop) cause i scared something might go wrong
maybe i will do on this lappy during my college sem break btw, does any1 know how to do step by step BIOS update?? |

oh yea forgot to update u guys on this
few days ago a new driver was release for Intel GPU, i updated it via Windows Update and so far no prob and Optimus still working fine  |

I second this..plus one more option,the nvidia chip is spoilt..if still get same prob then itz ur chipset problem that needs changing ( try oc'ing ur gpu till very unstable n u will also get it) |

Plugged into another external is the same. nah, by defult, if normal desktop no show then is because we start in intel gpu.. unless u can disable intel gpular.. or else try booting up in nvidia constant usage state, save, reboot and plug in c.. somehow i still like amd n ati but oh well. |

I think optimus is good for the auto-switching capabilities but it'll take some time for it to be perfect. still kinda buggy atm.
