QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Apr 6 2011, 09:53 PM) The Dell you getting FHD or the normal screen..... Mmmm just getting the normal screen. Budget exploded gao gao already. lol cause i'm adding the backlit k/b too.Just to help you, JBL on the XPS is better than B&O on the N53SN But i heard ASUS reliability > Dell. I dont want my laptop to go fizzle...just because of the 100 bucks. |

Hi guys, i've been listening to the speaker of the N53SN.
I must say, the audio is really loud, and somewhat rich Okay just curious, anyone of you have this specific? I think the music pic is a bit too high or something, i can hear the speaker somewhat 'sizzling'. If you get what I'd meant, it's like the sharp vibrating sound. i dont get it often, but i'm listening to this song now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGsU4vuJAIo, and occasionally the speaker tend to vibrate sharply. The music is still okay, just the speaker vibrates. Can anyone of you be so kind and help me play this song and listen to it? See if it vibrates too? >.< I scared the speaker is gone jor.. so within 7 days still can claim 1-to-1 unit. Btw, my volume is 70 when this happens. Or did I put it too loud? |

QUOTE(nvrgivup @ Apr 18 2011, 12:02 AM) QUOTE(Kyozen @ Apr 18 2011, 12:14 AM) yeah i understand what u meant, try adjusting asus sonic master and reduce the surround and clarity and go realtek hd audio manager change speaker default format to your liking there is also equalizer too if u want to tune it QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Apr 18 2011, 12:16 AM) I think is the song ur listening now la, quality not good lol thanks guys. But i think the sound distortion could be the cause of the speaker. Cause i can still hear it when i play other songs like "BEP - Good night" etc. Even at volume 40 also i can hear it. Think i'll head to lowyat today for 1to1 swap. wow..it's really far man..far...Anyway the sizzling thing is called sound distortion. This B&O speaker somehow is only suitable with jazz/instrumental songs. Songs with bass...not so good. To stop sound distortion, open Sonic Master and try to lower to the vocal clarity, Surround, Bass to ur liking. Lower it down could prevent sound distortion. |

QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Apr 18 2011, 12:41 PM) the sound distortion is actually normal when the surround, vocal clarity is highest, or when u turn the speaker volume to like 80% Yea it's true mine's 100/100/75. For vocal/surround/bass.But er, even at 40% also i noticed the sound distortion. Is that even normal? QUOTE(jammerlee711 @ Apr 18 2011, 03:17 PM) Yea kinda, but oh well, Free 4GB , Beijing Trip and 15" laptop bag. |

lol i just came back from lowyat.
Tell you all something funny. I went to PC3 to change the laptop because I was saying my speaker got the distorted sound right? I drove all the way there then the guy said no stock..lmao. He said ALL N53SN series (esp those who bought during pc fair) have to wait 2 weeks if you want 1-to-1 swap. So guys, just sharing my experience. You better don't go there and be turned down like I did. I was screaming at the counter. I think I can live with my speakers la...since the sifu Trance4eva says it is normal ... Just dont see too loud lo. p/s: You gets better notify PC3 if you want 1-to-1 claim. They will put you in 'waiting list'. |

QUOTE(reevephon @ Apr 19 2011, 09:52 AM) I'm sure it'll be good. lol.See, thing is that, when we pay such a huge amount for a trusted brand, we tend to have very, very high expectations. When that happens, we tend to point out the slightest fault in N53SN and make it sound so bad. But actually, when you think of it, do your N53SN : -Overheat on your palms when you stress it? -Optical disc tray doesnt budge? -Some keys feels hard and clickety? -BSoD on your without any reasons? -Any of your ports aren't working? -Thin lines of stripes on your LCD? -Your speaker totally/partly busted? -Scratches/dents on the frames? -GPU failing? ...to name a few. If say, you have 1 , and only 1 problem. Be thankful. |

QUOTE Thanks for posting the info here. I just think of go to PC3 just now. I bought the N53S with upgrading to 8GB ram at PC fair tat day...having the same issues like sound distortion, machine running slow, machine hang (few times already) while surfing net, lots of junk softwares installed, etc. But after I reformat and reinstall (not from recovery mode thot, fresh install from my own CD), install the necessary drivers, then everything seem to be fine now...just tat I still cannot get rid of the lousy speaker. Will give PC3/Asus a call asking them to solve this. My runnning processes fell from 93 to 67 when i deleted around 15 of them bloatwares. Gosh.. But Fastboot is commendable. Not too shabby. |
