Apogee is better when u are using lower hmax pump because its not as restrictive as Storm. Storm will only shines when u pair it with a high pressure pump which would yield way better results than Apogee. That is because of their design and the way the waterblock work is different.

Apogee is cheaper because their cost to make it is cheaper compared to Storm which uses CNC machined DelrinŽ Acetal with 35 mini jets.

Yeah, that's the one. We use it to polish the waterblock if there's any dirt or any build up on the surface. Making it shinier and more efficient while absorbing heat.

post some guide bro, need to clean off after polishing with it?
*
Nothing special actually with the steps. Firstly clean the waterblock with zippo lighter fluid, then rub the brasso on the waterblock parts that u wanted to clean. Leave it around 2 minutes and rub it off. Then clean with zippo lighter fluid again and let it dry. That's all.

If its a MCP650 don't worry. It would provide sufficient head pressure to work with the storm.

Well, i tried to help you with my method. Firstly soak the tubings with warm water, then take a wire and wrap around an old pieces of kain buruk(rags). Then pull it through the tubings until the other side. That should do it.

I only clean my loop like 6 months once, sometimes longer as im using only battery water and there's nothing to be cleaned also. I only need a minor topup every months because some of the water evaporated because my room are very hot in the afternoon.

Mostly, those so called uv coolant would only result in milky coloured tubings. Better if you use 100% distilled water in the first place.

I'm looking for budget LCS, any recommendations? I've read that some said that TT BigWater SE is not that good, why is it so?

Does it need any maintenance? Like refill every certain period for example sweat.gif
*
Maintenance, maybe you need to clean the fans and the radiator as it might get dusty in the long run. Maybe you need to topup the reservoir once in a while too. Once a year, maybe you can overhauled the LCS and change the liquid. That's all, to me it is not that bad. thumbup.gif

Last time a lot of P3800 were killed because overheating. P2800 is a better solution and they produce less heat too. Mine survived until i change to MCP 650. Just beware of the rattling sound, you wont know what would happen later. smile.gif

QUOTE(irangan @ Dec 30 2007, 07:37 PM)
No... Look for Mr. MetalZone
I dont know the exact difference between both of the pump. But 650 is slightly weaker than 655. That for sure.

If u want to bend, you dont have to change to 3/8... U should consider 7/16 tubing.. Can bend better and you dont have to use clamp on 1/2 bard smile.gif
*
QUOTE(irangan @ Dec 29 2007, 08:55 PM)
I thought the board come with adapter that can convert the block holes from 3/8 to 1/2. If u dont plan to hardcore OC, watercooling NB is not needed. But if u really want to do it, u might consider to change ur pump to D5. This is because with ur current setup, I worry ur flowrate will go down the drain as the block is proven to be restrictive.
*
QUOTE(lichyetan @ Dec 29 2007, 10:08 PM)
Laing D4 should be having the same spec as D4 rite? MCP650 vs 655...
i think i might change to 3/8 tubings as i dont think the 1/2 tubings can bend at the cpu and NB area...
*
D4 and D5 are almost identical except that D5 produces less heat.

Not sure about the D4 being the weaker sibling but im using it and it works like charm so far. *touchwood*
