Back cover gone, the side on the other hand just a bit gone. The under part the where shah81 make some hole to make negative airflow. brows.gif

QUOTE(almostthere @ Jun 3 2006, 04:49 PM)
Nope, if what arj means is what I;m guessing is correct, it's those oil tubings which are bluish in colour
*
Im using that tubings, its a very good tubing for the price but it will get yellowish colour after sometime. Not recommended for use with a coolant since it would make the tubings dirty and would effect the flow.

QUOTE(satanhead2003 @ Jun 9 2006, 07:07 PM)
Hi guys... i need some feedback. i'm going for pelt/TEC cooling with my wc. But, i'm not going to cool down my proc direcly. Instead, i'm, going to cool down my res. What do you guys think? well my res is DIY Glade .
*
Im using that res too and its a bit hard to do anything to it. I do think of cooling the reservoir by adding a secondary reservoir but it would take a lot of space to do. Maybe when im done i'll post the picture and improvement i get from it.

Why not use Battery Water ? Rm2 at Mesra, Petronas. Cheap and easy to get yet proven. Since you used a distilled water, how it fares with a battery water (If u have used it in the past) ?

p/s: Anybody know where to get Cyber Aqua 4700 pump in kl area ?

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Jul 12 2006, 01:16 AM)
is a single nirox sufficient for a swifttech dual fan rad, apogee block, and swiftech high flow reservoir??? my temp seems weird ler, opteron 144 wif 1.375 vcore, idle 37c max load 44c at default clock.... tubings = 1/2"ID
*
Dual fan rad as in BIX2 ? The waterblock would not choke much with the hmax from the pump but the problem is the rad. The rad need a high hmax pump to compensate the restrictive flow coupled with a high cfm fan to shine. About the temp, try to remount the waterblock and apply nice thin layer of AS5. That would do the job.

What do u mean by that ? To avoid bubbles inside the loop ? Btw im using BIX2 which uses 2x 120mm fans.

What i do last time was:-

1. Pour the battery water inside the reservoir until full.
2. Then run the pump, the water will flow to the wb and rads.
3. Stop the pump, pour more water until full.
4. Run the pump again, if the water is flowing nicely pour the water into the reservoir again until its full.

Yeah, i want to know too. Since there's gonna be bubbles in the loop somehow. But from what i preserved, when the water is warm when the proc is at full load there wont be any bubbles later. Anybody else got this kind of results ?

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Aug 12 2006, 01:50 AM)
after tht u still gt enough space for ur drives??? i mean i still gt rom and floppy...
*
Yeah, i can fit 1 dvdwriter and 1 floppy nicely with some space. It only touches the hdd cage, and if u use all 4 hdds u can still mount it like that. Ive tried it.

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Aug 20 2006, 01:51 AM)
hi there, can anyone recommend me a coolant??? cause i currently using distilled water, but it seems i busy wif my university assignments and tests, so i plan to use some long lasting coolants which can use few months without maintanance...any reccomend??? thermaltake uv coolant or the cooler master one ok??? or i go for swiftech hydrx???
*
Well, coolant would require u more maintenance as it would stick to ur tubings in long term.

QUOTE(TJye @ Aug 21 2006, 12:11 PM)
Hi everyone, its been a long time since I last post here.
I've remove my loop a few weeks back when my temps are pretty bad.
50deg c idle on a newcastle core athlon 64

After opening up the loop
I've found that my heatcore is very dusty, and my pump, a D5 have some residual brown colour stuff on the pump wheel along the housing.
The most worrying thing now is that the water block base plate, the storm, is oxidize ........see the picture below

Should I just submerged it in white vineger and brush it to clean?

Thanks
*
Mine also like that, i just used a Brasso and it shines again. thumbup.gif

but distilled water need to change every few months rite??? i quite confused, but coolant does prevent corrosion, oxidixation rite?
*
I change mine 4 months once. Coolant do prevent oxidation and corrosion but they do give some -ve side effects too if used too much.

bro and all, a pump is like an investment, do invest wisely, if thinking of a long term low risk portfolio, get the D5 full stop.  For a short term high risk tenure, the ayam brand will do.... and -sigh- i haven't got the chance to fix my BI GT yet.. aiyaaaaaa...... demmit.
*
I got a dead D4 here and i wont think i'll go for a next Laing pumps. Too many failure rate. wink.gif

Here some parts list i'm quote from Petras Tech Shop :

Cpu waterblock: AquaXtreme MP-05 PRO Universal
Radiator : Swiftech MCR-220
Tubing : 7/16" ID (5/8" OD) Masterkleer General Purpose Clear PVC Tubing 10 ft
Pump : Please suggest to me sweat.gif
Coolant : Pentosin G11 Coolant Additive
*
If u have the cash, why not go for eheim pumps ? Eheim 1250 should do it. If u have the extra cash why not go for the Eheim 1260 ? 4m hmax. sweat.gif

Anybody know where can get Eheim 1250 and how much for it? Isn't worth if buy from oversea?
*
Rm380 roughly at a Petshop at SS24/8.

QUOTE(almostthere @ Oct 11 2006, 09:58 PM)
Which one you're talking? The Nirox? That's only worth using with low restriction blocks like the Apogee and Maze 4. For more restrictive blocks, I use the Cyber Aqua (about RM70/= a pop) but you'd need to find the brass barbs on your own. Pretty hard to find these over here. The Cyber awqua's rating is 3m HMax and QMax 2650 lph
*
Ive once used the Nirox with my Storm and the result is a so so since the Hmax is not capable of unleashing the true potential of the waterblock. Rite now im using an Eheim 1048 with Storm G4 and BIX2 and max load temp is 48c with the proc running at 2.8ghz @ 1.66v. Maybe i can get lower temps with better pumps since the waterblock and the radiator is restrictive.
