Wanted to ask for advice on the black rubber at the bottom of sink.. My old sink is starting to have water leak, I suspect it's leaking from the black rubber. Was told that the rubber is suppose to act as absorbent.  Is the rubber replaceable or do i have to change the entire basin to fix my water leak issue?
*
that rubber thing is just for sound deadening. yours is a stainless steel sink correct?
maybe its the drain fitting that is leaking

Thanks. So, are they from the same parent company?

Yes same, italy design but made in china. Mocha will be more on targeting hardware shop.

If you have budget, go for blanco.

Definitely more solid feel than any other brands.

Hi, just to get some info from you guys. I just bought a double bowl sink. But the sink doesn't come with the tap hole. Any idea how to open the hole? As far I know stainless steel are hard to drill.

Where did you read that? I've no experience yet cause not yet install.
I don't think it can discolor. Maybe stained.

what other choice do you have? stainless steel will get water marks - this is guaranteed sweat.gif
mine is a blanco and even that gets lots of negatives and positives - you can read here
http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/clean...0821553.html?53

you can also go thru these 19 pages here to read some reviews. i believe one or two says no problem like this -

blanco is a good brand thus the price is a little premium. for that bowl i think those no name brand can go for RM600-700.

yeah better go for top mount. just in case if need to change bowl no need so troublesome

you can do undermount and still be able to replace it easily if necessary. just dont sandwich it between your counter and rough top like in the blog you posted.

Haaaa. Like that u so fast get your sink already. Lol. My kitchen cabinet contractor not confident of doing undermount. Guess I am stuck with top mount. My only gripe is the transparent silicon which I believe over time will sure turn to spotted black.

suddenly delayed boh pian sad.gif
dont put so much silicon, just put a bead on the inside inside so that when they press on it, it will spread out just a little. you put masking tape around it, any overflow lands on the tape which you tear off after installation. if they lazy, just want to wipe it off then sure will black black later on tongue.gif
