Please note that this is a modded version Tmuso according to my ears, where the initial small ELNA caps at the front (which sounds very sharp for vocal and lack of accurate bass and very hot treble) and other black color low quality caps CHANGED to high quality OScon caps. Therefore it have very minimal PC noice from usb while produce the pure sound of your music.

Got it today, err actually it arrived a day before, haha..
After test it out, it improve my bass, alot, before, onboard sound card make the bass sound muddy, now, the bass is tight and.. dont know how to put it in word.. Boom boom? hahaha

i dont think it can do that. anyway, the volume is already a lot if you use headphone or earphone. for earphone it's too much actually. the highest i use is only 5/100.

Basically this will replace your soundcard. Good stuff, got one from him. You will get clearer noise free sound compare to your soundcard.

Since its similar to the soundcard in any PC and Laptop, you should be able to use with any speakers, headphones, earphones, cans, woodies, IEMs etc.

My very brief review is, everything is louder and clearer from the T-Muso compared to my Realtek built-in soundcard.

Will test it on my laptop and office PC (crappier soundcard) later.

My complete review of T-Muso USB DAC.

Genre: Pop/Folk / Song: Reza Salleh - Kasih.flac
SoundMAX HD (Built-in soundcard): Bassline sounded louder than T-Muso. Volume is at mid. But when the instruments mixed together, everything became muddied.
T-Muso: Sounded surprisingly lower than the soundcard. But the music/instruments are more clearer.
Conclusion: The differences during intro and verses are unnoticeable but when the instruments+vocals came together, T-Muso WINS. You can hear the instruments clearly and everything(volume level)blends nicely.

Genre: Rock / Song: 30 Seconds to Mars - Beautiful Lie.mp3 (320kbps)
SoundMAX HD (Built-in soundcard): Most of the time, sounds are OK. But at times at higher volume, the sounds kinda muddied or digitalized.
T-Muso: Much much clearer sound. Volume levels for each instruments blends nicely. Unlike SoundMAX, the guitar distortions are more subtle. Not too loud, but the crunch is clearer.
Conclusion: T-Muso again! The clarity is noticeable even for a rock song like this.

Genre: Instrumental/Experimental / Song: Solanin OST - ENT - Pneuma.flac
SoundMAX HD (Built-in soundcard): The overall sound doesnt blends well when everything kicks in. But its unnoticeable during intro and verses.
T-Muso: Just like the previous songs, its sound clarity are obvious. The volume level might be lower, but when the music kicks in, its just beautiful. For a song with strings and drums&bass, T-Muso really compliments it.
Conclusion: Both sounded closer during intro and verses. But when the music kicks in, T-Muso WINS again! SoundMAX is just too loud and muddied.

Overall thoughts: T-Muso is surely a big change from your typical soundcards. I like the fact that it is portable as I "travel" alot. And it is also USB-powered. So only the USB cable is needed. For those who are not sure what to buy, and not willing to pay for those expensive DACs as starters, this is for you!

For me, this is one of my Audiophiles-Starter-Kit (as what I like to call it).

Yes you can if know how and use the right adapter but not advisable as the capacitor leg is not meant for that, easy to broke.

Went and meet the seller today at Sunway Pyramid to get my DACs

Initially I told him that I wanted to buy only one DAC, yet he decided to come to Sunway Pyramid during Saturday near buka puasa time (really hard to find parking man, had to drive all the way up to the roof top to get my parking)

We went to Starbucks non-smoking area for an area with less noise in order to really test the DACs, seller decided to spend me a latte because today's my birthday! woot, free audition and free drinks lol, awesome. (btw, he didn't even check my IC )

Anyway, he took out 4 different type of DACs, from OScon 330uf, OScon 220uf, Nichicon Muse and Elna Silmic2. He hint me on the signatures of each of the caps then suggested me to try every single one of them.

Started with OScon 330uf, I am not an audiophile person myself, so my hearing may not be as precise, neither is my explanation as well. Nonetheless, the OScon 330uf is more fun for me, I'd say the audio line has more variables. Suitable for people like me who listens to all range of musics.

Then I tried the OScon 220uf, the sound is similar to 330uf. There's a slight difference from 330uf but I couldn't sense it, perhaps my hear is numb after listening to the OScon 330uf. (I tested with several songs, including rock, hip hop, vocal songs for each and every DAC)

Then I tried the Elna Silmic2, whoa... the mids... is damn awesome, if you are a vocal or mid person and who could care less about the bass, this is the one to go. The vocals voice that goes through the Silmic2 caps is so precise and focus. If you'd listen carefully, you can even actually imagine the artist's lips shaping to produce the sound we call music.

Last I tried Nichicon Muse, the DAC that should be coupled with an AMP. Beware, nichicon is very clear, it drills to the detail of the music. You can really hear the minor minor details of the song, but the problem is... it's awesome that you can hear details. But overall, it gets tiresome for me because everything sounds so equally good and none of them outshine each other, making the song sounds flatter. However, if you're a bassy person, you should really give nichicon muse a green light

Spent about 2 hours trying out all these DACs, ended up buying three of them. One for myself, two for my friends.

In brief, I'd highly recommend this seller to everyone. Not only is he friendly, he's also honest about his products. If you were to find a seller, might as well find one who's interested and passionate in his field, and Slevin is one of those people.

Actually, there is. Slevin told me the capacitors for the OScon 330uf I bought is more expensive.

The whole DAC comprised of 6 caps, 2 large caps, 4 smaller caps. The one I bought, from top to bottom, all 6 caps are OScon's.

But since we COD, he didn't charge me for more.

As a business student, profit minded person I reminded him why not try to sell more expensive?

honestly, his products are actually worth the price perhaps even more.

But he replied he's just doing it for his passion...

In the end, I bought 3 of them at the same price

I knew him, my friend bought one with OScon 330uf and I have meet him for Cube C30 before.

Yeah, we chat a little while I was testing.

I thought he was well over 40, apparently many sellers here are of 20's or close 30's according to him.

It's fun meeting another audiophile, many many things to share and learn.

I use the Silmic 2 cause i can never forget the sweet vocal from the W11jpn(but not even close to W1jpn + "Yummy")~ it's actually a personal collection (currently i only have 3pairs of silmic 2)

but it's not as universal as OScon~ when it come to Modern Pop, Rock and Metal...

Good job Slevin! Should do a TT gath for us audiophiles to test and promote more. Good product need good exposure. Also, I didnt get the chance to test the others.

I am a b**** for Silmic2, I'm totally sold for Silmic when it's paired with Alessandro's cans.

I amp'ed the Silmic with my HippoBox+, it's yielding tightened bass of my preference.

In short, you will use it as your sound card. You can use with powered speaker.

DAC = Digital to analog converter. read my link for simple explanation.

with DAC = use USB DAC as good sound card (read previous post to see the different sound quality if using different capacitors)
without DAC = use your current sound card which won't give you a good sound quality unless if you use really high end card that cost more than this USB DAC.
