I'm looking "something" to enhance my Corsair SP2500. Especially in music. Bass are kinda weak. It's full and pack but less boomy...

I use with my Corsair SP 2500 speaker. According to some of the audio pro in LYN, my speaker have built in amp IINM. So, some of the USB DAC will perform worse than my on-board soundcard. Maybe this is the the explanation for my case. I have a mind set that Light Sabre will perform better than T-Muso due to bigger bits for Light Sabre doh.gif .

But after received both unit, conclusion is Light Sabre are worse than my on-board soundcard. Sound are muddy. While T-Muso, make everything clear. And really improve the bass performance which I was looking for. Surprisingly, T-Muso improve video and gaming sound too. Adele live concert sound better, I will say a lot better. And IMO, conversation for movie are better. For gaming, even with on-board soundcard the speaker can perform really well. And with T-Muso, the bass are tighter, the sound are cleaner.

But I notice one thing, T-Muso reduce my speaker. Hmmm...Let's say 1-5 represent my speaker loudness. 5 is the loudest and 1 is the minimum. For on-board soundcard, I max volume and it score 4. Light Sabre score 5. T-Muso score 3. But I don't mind the loudness reduction as I really happy with the performance. RM120 and there you are, a better sound.

And I just realized how fool I am for not testing both DAC for my laptop! doh.gif Should have test before return... Gosh, long explanation. Maybe need a review. Haha...

I see.....

Personally I have experience with the TE7022L,pair with PCM5102 for the DAC section, didn't suffer the symptom u mentioned... hmm.gif

Unless side by side comparison, hard to explain what's the real reason behind....

Anyway, glad to see that u enjoy the T Muso... smile.gif

Owh... I see... Hehe... I did try for laptop, really enhanced the output. But forget to compare with T-Muso. So, I think it's my speaker that cause the symptom...

Got both unit at my hand, T-Muso and E-Sabre DAC, both by Slevin Sent. Headphone is Fischer Audio FA-003. Tested at pc and laptop. Foobar with no plug in and default audio quality for each device. I'd say T-Muso still the winner. My thoughts is:

T-Muso: Clear, louder, accurate and punching bass. Suitable for classical and hip hop R&B music. Hard to Say I'm Sorry by AZ Yet, the bass produce at my headphone similar to my SP 2500 speaker, powerful vibrating bass. Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face sound awe! And Eva Cassidy - Fallen leaves leave me like a fallen leaves. For Rock music, the guitar rift hurt my ear. Clear dialogue in game or movie.

E-Sabre: Sound neutral, warmer, loud bass but not really punchy for me. Suitable for music that include a lot of guitar riff. Muse, Foo Fighter, King of Leon, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish (all those rock and metal band) sound awesome. More boom in game and movie, still improve dialogue in movie and game.

That's all. And only sharing thoughts...
