just finished flash to ginger.. found that there's added menu in setting > application.. happy.gif
still need to play more with this new ginger.. biggrin.gif

yep, i know u want to flash speedmod for the lagfix kan? tongue.gif im very satisfied with speedmod even with stock rom because of the lagfix. it makes the phone really smooth. brows.gif

i just flashed to MIUI, at first it lags like my long time Eclair, but then it's blazing smooth. everything works okay so far, autorotation works, my signal okay, and my IMEI is there too! biggrin.gif and the camera got the zebra lines, but then the picture turn out to be okay. will play with this rom for awhile. tongue.gif

in my case with MIUI (zach's kernel):
-hard reboot with Auto rotate on and Wifi ON ==> Auto rotate works, wifi DOESN'T.
-hard reboot with Auto rotate on and Wifi OFF ==> both works.

camera preview kind of sucks, but acceptable quality (I don't take pictures often)
what do u mean by "weird angle" anyway?
*
im holding my phone straight, but the video show (using fring and also camera app) 180 rotate.

no, tat's only for Froyo, u'll get bootloops. wait til Hardcore compiles a Speedmod from Gingerbread's sourcecode. unless u wanna flash custom XXJVB rom using Speedmod's CWM (without reboot) I think.. if u wan lagfix, can use Supercurio's hacked kernel rite

Gingerbread Guide

4. To revert back to Froyo
- In case you want to revert back to froyo roms, just download any firmware that has "Sbl.bin" in it to downgrade the bootloader. For example, ZSJPJ rom has the file. I have tested this rom and it works. http://hotfile.com/dl/110924408/c576fa2/I9000ZSJPJ.rar.html (Extract the file. Password is "samfirmware.com")
- Once you are on ZXXJPJ, you can choose to stay with it or just flash any other froyo roms.

regarding the info on 1st page, do we really have to downgrade the bootloader from Gingerbread to go back to Froyo? I thought GB's bootloader works with previous Froyo as well??

Gingerbread Guide

As of now, there are three Gingerbread ROMs we can try.
A. Cyanogenmod 7
B. MIUI
C. Samsung's XXJVK

Flashing XXJVK

XXJVK is the most stable of all three. For beginners, this is the best firmware to try.

1. Follow instructions here http://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-insta...s-instructions/
You can straightaway flashing the firmware with the new updated bootloader.

2. To root:
- easist is by cf-root. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...150&postcount=5 and download this file http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment...70&d=1301446083
- Just flash it by odin at PDA section

3. Getting CRT-Screen Shut off
- Follow this post; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=125

1 and 2 :
find cf-root in xda, it has the latest JVB version there. just flash with odin then u get root and busybox as well. also, you can choose to convert to ext4 if you want by using the ext4 app. but my advice, better wait for the official source code release so that all the xda devs can figure it out to add full ext4 to GB. till now, its still experimental.
3. the gps is okay with stock JVK/JVB
4. flash other custom GB roms.

Good morning. Is there anyone still on Darky ROm 9.5?
I would like to ask a question.
Why I try to copy the text in my memo and the apps is force closed?
It also happen when I try to copy text from webpage, and a dialog box will show to tell that " sorry, try again"
Does any experience this?
Anyway to fix this problem?
Thanks.

Yes..experienced the bold one on JPG and JPJ + Sweethoney 2.7/2.7 XE and Darky 9.3/9.4/9.5. It solved when I flash to JS8 + Criskelo 75.

Maybe you can try JS8 + Darky 9.5.
