hmm it cant?? well most people here are using custom roms which already is rooted, or they flash speedmod kernel which will automatically root the phoen, ans superoneclick have serve me well, try to look on how to root in first page. im usre there are few option you can try.

yes, i have try it on kies, and also have upgrade it with kies, but you need to install spooffw to your phone cause as you may read, that release is for europe, so you have to "trick" kies in seeing your as a europe phone.

but im very dissapointing with their gps, so now im jump to MIUI

yes guys, im on MIUI ALREADY!!! nice, looking thing, BUT, why my screen all yellowish/creamish white no fun, its like iphonish screen, i want my super amoled screen back......

flashed the zip, and every thing related to google force closed....

so its true then 2.3 gps is screwed up?

dont know to say screw up or not, and cant say "gingerbread" gps, 1. i test it at my room windows, which the 2 version of BETA could get a signal or at least view of 4 5 satellite. and the official gingerbread i could not get a single satellite when i put it there, unless i connected to internet which means agps.

but then today i test it on the road(no internet), it show views but no lock, after some minutes then it locks, the signal strength is super low compare to the previous version, 20-25 strength only. so yeah, it is a crap compare to the BETA, but who knows the coming version. maybe better

go get some themes on it XD

its so much faster compared to other roms... use to lag a lot while i play tap tap revenge on most roms but MIUI is just swift...

hmm my auto rotation not working, and my camera in weird angle, how to correct it?

can anybody play eternal legacy?

Added on April 18, 2011, 12:25 amcheck that ur auto rotation toggle is on, and then hold the power button down until ur phone reboots itself... then u should have rotation back
camera angle i'm not sure with it... anyways camera on MIUI is not so stable anyways

gps working fine here. you need to flash with the bootloader to get everything work as it should, especially the auto rotation thing.

only drawbacks to me are the battery drain and sucky camera

for RC5, the camera is now working right? and how's the battery life? mine with stock JPJ can last 19 hours only, if last like that i think it's acceptable la juga to me somehow.

yup the camera is working

i leave it idle 24/7. can last for a day if x guna, but if guna, drains pretty fast! i tinkered around with the theme manager and the battery reduced so fast

in my case with MIUI (zach's kernel):
-hard reboot with Auto rotate on and Wifi ON ==> Auto rotate works, wifi DOESN'T.
-hard reboot with Auto rotate on and Wifi OFF ==> both works.

camera preview kind of sucks, but acceptable quality (I don't take pictures often)
what do u mean by "weird angle" anyway?

ya la.. better not kan..
just finished flash to ginger.. found that there's added menu in setting > application..
still need to play more with this new ginger..
