QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Mar 28 2011, 03:01 AM) That's a funny response but where do i get that efs backup cwm package??Don't worry about imei because you can always restore efs folder. Beta 8 was really buggy. Maybe beta 8r2 is better. Please share your experience! Added on March 28, 2011, 3:04 am There's efs backup cwm package. To restore in case of changed imei number, just copy paste the content of backed up efs folder in your internal sdcard into /efs folder using rootexplorer is there a way to use ZSJPE modem with MIUI firmware??? |

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Mar 28 2011, 03:33 AM) Our sifu freakfingers should be able to answer that. lol IMEI gone...- try lock and unlock screen - check imei by dialing *#06# if it is changed, copy the content of backed up efs folder into /efs folder i kinda love this rom for all the added features and it really looks nice... problem now is i cant call out becoz i cant get any telco signals and overall the transitions and so on are a bit choppy... some apps are slow when its launched... do we need a lagfix for this? |

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Mar 28 2011, 03:52 AM) Do you have a backed up /efs folder? Maybe long time ago before flashing custom rom? The instruction explicitly says to flash the efsbackup.zip yup i still have the efs backup with me... i will do it later once i can get my phone to call out and receive messages T_T |

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Mar 28 2011, 04:02 AM) You're on B8r2? A lot of ppl get this cos the script doesn't restore efs. Since you have efs in backup/efs, then flash to Beta 7 then flash to Beta 8r2. Remember to wipe at least /system and /cache before flashing each Beta. awww... so unless i get to beta 7 i wont get to call anybody???Lock and unlock everytime you boot, or else you most probably have choppy animation and no signal. It's a CM7 bug. can i flash zsjpg into MIUI to get better gps performance? |

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Mar 28 2011, 04:07 AM) Does copying the backed up content of efs folder into /efs works too? its based on official MIUI but i suppose its using CM7 kernel... thus all the bugs???Also, I thought beta 8r2 is based on official miui, not cm7. its really a nice rom... really hope one day it could reach stable state and i'll stick to it for the rest of the time XD |

phone working, just external sd card not working yet... battery drain like water down the drain... overall transition was ok, not too choppy after flashing beta8r2 over beta7 |

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Mar 28 2011, 08:44 PM) It is solved. This is based off MIUI.cn preview and it's done from ground up by Chinese miui, only CM7 bug left is RIL Polling. what RIL polling... phone rebooting after flashing ^^Added on March 28, 2011, 8:52 pm QUOTE(zumapuma @ Mar 28 2011, 08:50 PM) here u gohttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992251 This post has been edited by CrossX: Mar 28 2011, 08:52 PM |

QUOTE(freakfingers12 @ Mar 28 2011, 08:59 PM) Lol, it's about choice. And with MIUI, I feel Android is getting closer to the polished vibe of iPhone, not being iPhonish, just being more refined than normal Android. And also, there are thousands of themes, you can get closer to the iPhone feel or closer to the Honeycomb feel. I love it. Not to mention it's fast. oh icic... ya thats what happen when i start the camera app... i need to lock and unlock to be able to see the preview...RIL polling basically causes this: when you reboot you phone, you need to lock and unlock it. That's a bug in CM7. problem now is... WIFI is not working T_T |
