Touchscreen keyboards are useful in cellphones, but other than that, it is just a novelty.
I wouldn't want to use something that has no feedback and I'd have to look at the keys every time I type. Plus, rubber domes should cost 10 times cheaper than touchscreen keyboards no matter how cheap they can make those touchscreen keyboards. Even stupid and mushy RM10 keyboards feels better than them touchscreen keyboards |

QUOTE(lolokzarecool @ Apr 13 2011, 03:54 PM) hi guys just ordered a ducky 1008 with blue switches You should look for it in taobao, and ship it together with your keyboard. There are some KBC 37 keys with blanks either in PBT or ABS form in different color than the one you want.Wondering if there is any way to get a full white/black BLANK keycap set for cherry mx switches anywhere for a cheap price? I don't think you can find 104/108 key blanks, but imsto, the admin from KBC, has got some white engraved, and black engraved PBTs for sale. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9972268320 I almost forgot, FILCO has got a set of blanks to go. http://www.gameshop.com.sg/advanced_search...s=filco&x=0&y=0 there you go. Cost a lot however. Look around VR-zone, see if anyone selling. I saw one person selling it few days back. A set of FILCO blanks QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Apr 13 2011, 07:02 PM) well, ABS should be enough for most cases, since all people here have experience with ABS plastic, if any of you don't know, our childhood product "LEGO" the plastic is ABS quality. Not those fake China Lego thou, the Ori Lego Product. =X ABS makes the keyboard all shiny at heavily used spots, while normal on non frequent used ones. So you probably need to change the spacebar every now and then on ABS. PBTs don't shine so fastBtw, i consider PBT plastic more of a collection, makes me heart pain if i use them. Rare stuff should be collection and not for usage =X Btw, i'm closing The Signature Plastic Key Cap Order soon, if any of you wanted to order extra, please inform soon. i'll send everyone in the list email soon to quote the price. QUOTE(ganstream1 @ Apr 13 2011, 08:05 PM) a quick question: Try it out at pc fair/lowyat. Those BW and SS keyboards are the best you can find in the stores.is there a store I can test out these mechanical keyboards in KL (or Lowyat for that matter)? I'm thinking of changing my keyboard to a mechanical one but would like to get the feel of the switches before I make the leap. thanks This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 13 2011, 09:52 PM |

You asked the wrong people for a trade.
RM200 gets you probably keyboards with non-standard layout, or used ones Taobao New: KBC poker - 400 RMB PLUM89 keys - 300 RMB IIRC~ Used: IBM Model M - 150RMB~ old ALPS keyboard - around 100 - 150 RMB depending on model Used Cherry Clears G80 board with touchpad - 200RMB~ Sell your G110, and maybe you can get something better than Rm200 This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 13 2011, 10:29 PM |

Just do a search for 白轴cherry in taobao. They cost about RM140 after shipping. The layout is in ISO, with PBT keycaps, and the arrow keys are at a nonstandard location. I was going to go for that, but decided to look do my switch try instead This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 13 2011, 10:49 PM |

I ordered myself a Model M. Apparently the shipping weight for each of these are around 3 - 3.5kg. But i found a cheap per kg shipper and the total cost end up alright
The difference between both label is the year they were made. It seems there are some minor quality difference, but based on some opinions, they are just the same. |

Majestouch 2 for sale at Korea. After conversion 165k won = RM460 In comparison Leopold Tenkeyless are RM360 after conversion in Korea, and US$99 from elitekeyboards. Guess Edifier/Moderno and gang, brought it in a perhaps a decent price. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 15 2011, 11:02 PM |

QUOTE(KepalaRadio @ Apr 17 2011, 12:21 AM) Hey guys I wanna enquire on something, my clan is planning on doing a bulk order of 1008 Duckies via PCHome. I would like to ask, is the Ducky dealer a safe transaction? You are asking whether PCHOME is safe? They are a reputable reseller in Taiwan. If you want to safe on the cost, I'd suggest you get them through Taobao. Find the cheapest mail forwarder you can get. Or, you could try this Taiwanese etailer called Inpad, where the Duckies are for sale at NT$2000 ea. They don't ship internationally, so you'll need a mail forwarder as well. QUOTE(kEazYc @ Apr 17 2011, 07:32 PM) Taobao still got. For RM450, consider the FILCOs sold by moderno. They are going for about Rm20 more, with NKRONvm i found some other still got, just now i only search ducky and unable to find more, @_@. Got the pricing already, almost same as taobao, around rm520. Now i'm thinking to consider http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21012312445083, about RM450, but it doesn't have USB NKRO. So i'm thinking, is it worth paying extra 70 for the USB NKRO. =\ |

@lalalee, how much you paid for that?
@IphoneLover, it was just a simple keypad. I don't have a 6gv2. To desolder, all you need is a solder sucker or a solder braid, solder iron, and some solder. Switches can be gotten from element14.com if you want it in small quantities. They ship via GDex, free This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 18 2011, 04:07 PM |
