You can buy a Model M. I bet 99% of the people in your office won't want to steal something so ancient and useless(to them)

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Apr 18 2011, 09:37 PM) If you want to use Cherry ML switches, there are plenty of alternatives out there. If you want to show off, its better if you buy a nicer car than buy a nicer keyboard. People will think your are ForeverAlone.jpg |

I got mine from......... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « You can read the wiki on GH on it. Says the pros and cons of each type of adapters. The blue cube appears to be the best QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Apr 19 2011, 05:53 PM) Asus has a typing contest to win prizes. Whats the prize? Too bad Asus don't make mechanical keyboards.Top 3 people with highest score wins good prizes. How the game works is, using keyboard, type the corresponding words and numbers to keep your virtual car speeding. Typos and slow typing will result in a slower car. Maybe they came to their senses and give the winners Topres This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 19 2011, 06:22 PM |

QUOTE(kEazYc @ Apr 19 2011, 07:09 PM) The prizes for the ASUS ROG typing contest:- These are great prizes, but sadly i can't type that much faster than everyone else or accurately.1st: Asus G53 Gaming laptop - SRP RM7999 if i'm not wrong 2nd: Asus Rampage III Extreme Black Edition - RM19XX 3rd: Asus GTX580 Direct CU2 - RM18XX So if you guys happen to win any of these prizes, you are able to get yourself a mechanical keyboard or 2. Maybe you should train with MX blacks/BS and whack away the keyboard with scissor switches at the competition. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 19 2011, 07:25 PM |

My Model M just arrived, and this baby is loud, definitely louder than MX blues.
I'm afraid my roomate will kill me if he hears more of this. He is trying to finish his report. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 19 2011, 10:09 PM |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Apr 21 2011, 01:46 PM) sorry for the delay, i think things and stuff would be done and come in May, quite hard for me now, managing all stuff alone, i'll try to do ASAP, Leopold will be available in Singapore too I do really hope you bring them in by early May. These delays makes those FILCOs from taobao looks juicy.@rockccf, does the 6gv2 you have have a nonstandard right shift key? This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 21 2011, 02:49 PM |

FILCOs looks juicy because they are cheaper than what is offered by edifier and gang. I understand there's some difference between majestouch 1 and 2 but people who have them both cant really tell the difference.
@rockccf yes I am referring to the shorter right shift key. It annoys the heck of of me. |

QUOTE(zandara @ Apr 21 2011, 05:06 PM) IMO, Filco quality is good. Although i didnt test out other like Ducky, SS, Das. But I love the Filco brown i got now. You only need a switch try board. It makes you want to get all the switches to try.I wish i had all the switches with cheap price. After trying the Model M for few days, now I've got some stronger fingers The blacks felt easy to press on. The clears felt a bit mushy since the tactile point is long, but i still want to try The browns now feel more linear than they used to be, but the slight tactile bump is still near The reds feel very very soft The Blues, now I know why Cherry decide to make them blues. They are trying to mimick the BS switch. The Blues felt like less tactile and less clicky BS switches. But compared to BS switch, they dont make such a huge racket when you are typing. Now I don't know what switch to get next. Maybe a Blue Switch. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 21 2011, 05:34 PM |

I have to correct myself, the Blues are more tactile than the BS, but somehow the BS feels better to type on.

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Apr 23 2011, 01:27 PM) Guys, i've received the sample unit from Leopold Today, will be posting pictures about them soon. Finally some real update on the Leopolds Overall, after i check the keyboard and it's accessories, i'm quite happy with the quality(i'm a picky person) and USB quality has been improved. will be using the keyboard temporally. Quick View : Red proven to be too light for me after i've been used to black and alps, but LOL, times to improve touch typing =X |

OK now this is insane
DK-9008 going for NT$2590 This is insane. This is ridiculous. Dammit which one to get EDIT: probably stock clearance for the G2 Duckies to come in. But at this price, FR4 and NKRO don't really matter to me anyway This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Apr 23 2011, 06:35 PM |
