found another mechanical kb, the ABS M1 (http://alturl.com/c9jcn)

looks similar to filco, and cheaper too. the switches are mechanical, but not cherry MX. (looks like ALPS or cherry ML to me)

Black ALPS, non clicky, tactile. Ripster said it felt like a high friction Cherry Clear IIRC

Mostly I will go for Leopold and i think Leopold will be cheaper.
Seems like most people here are expecting Filco more than Leopold?
*
Beats me. Maybe they want more options?
If it was between Filco and Itik, I'll take Itik. Plus you can get Itik from you-know-where easily.
But got leopold coming, so I am seriously considering the leopold instead, since you can get the otaku verison. So that is a very big plus for me.

if buy from pchome... how to claim warranty?

BTW: ducky keyboard how long is the warranty?
*
Most of us are wondering that too.
If its just the switches acting funny, you can just buy the replacements from element14 (farnell) about rm5~ per switch. But they only have blacks blues and clears. You can make ghetto reds out of black stem + blue spring. The browns are more of a hassle.

If its the controller, then it might be dipshit. Because sending the item back to taiwan is already RM70~ish, but I have not heard of those things failing, yet, except them JandaHitam(s) a.k.a BlackWidows tongue.gif

About those Rapoos
The pcpop link shows it is priced at 600 RMB. From crude conversion, that is about RM280. Note that Razer BWE are going for around that price in China if you look around. So if enough volume are brought in, then we might see those threads about "BWE vs Rappoo" floating around once these keyboards land in Malaysia. Hopefully Rapoo did not "cherry pick" their stuff like Razer does. Razer did that and look what happened to the funny issues cropping up all over the place.

Could probably try with standard KBC caps. Since cherry mx keycaps have the same interface (the cross)

Just received my switch try stuff from Taobao. Tried out blues, browns and clears. More to come, but that'll be another week or two for the black
Now i know why they say blues have a double tapping issue. Browns feels very light after trying out Blues and clears. And Clears definitely feel like theres something on the bottom preventing you from bottoming out.

And yet, I am still confused as ever on which one to get for the keyboard purchase.

I'd prefer the blank version. Plus it is cheaper.

How does typing for long periods on Mx Black feels like?
I've been playing with the keypad and find Black to be rather interesting, can anyone comment?

Wah, FILCOs are sweat.gif sweat.gif
I can buy one from armygroup with their ridiculous EMS charge and still end up cheaper by a bit

Though the warranty does worth the difference in price. But god damn the price is teh rclxub.gif

EDIT: Looks like same price as Gameshop SG. Its going for 200SGD there

I think that PLUM that is bulking is a tad overpriced too. 3 Weeks means marine shipping from Taobao
Unless he is buying from AliExpress which he is making about Rm2 a keyboard
You can do your own calculation with marine shipping and you should see what I mean.

Since going in to the details will result in mods deleting my post

I think the seller anticipated a bidding war that never came. See how much he sells his FILCOs now
